i´m sorry but i can´t donate anything yet. Perhaps i can do anything for S.E.T.I
in the next year. My budget is to little to do donate for it.

Paypal requires that you have a bank account attached to send or receive funds. For various reasons, there is no bank account specifically for SETI@Home, so no way to receive funds.

Previously, a user had agreed to forward all Paypal donations made to his account to SETI@Home via his credit card, but that user has been missing for a few years, and therefore there is no way to donate via Paypal at this time.

I assure you the Admins would love nothing more than to let everyone download all the workunits they can handle if they had a choice in the matter.

Many of the servers are old and in need of upgrade or replacement.
That is one of the reasons we have these fund drives.
Most of S@H funding comes from the volunteer crunchers like you and me.
If only everyone could/would contribute.....

Dear SETI@home staff,

at the moment, donating to SETI@home can prove difficult for some potential donors outside of the US, since credit card is the only practical method of payment.
If this is wanted by the SETI@home staff - as noted in this thread, it was already done before - I would volunteer to provide two additional donation methods:

- A PayPal account
- An EU bank account (bank transfers are an easy and cheap payment method for many EU users)

I would vow to publish monthly reports on the accepted donations, and to forward donations and any gained interest from the bank account to SETI@home bi-monthly.
Donors could - as usual - choose to remain anonymous or have their name published in the monthly reports.

Don't be put off by the "credit card" description. Any Visa or Mastercard works just as well, including bank debit cards and pre-paid travel money cards.

At the top left of the first post (or most recent post depending on your sort order preferences), does it say "Subscribe" or "Unsubscribe"? If it says "Unsubscribe", you must have subscribed to it accidentally. Hitting "Unsubscribe" will fix that.
