He must have been sicker than he let on, he was mostly running the company up to August. Yeah, He had a liver transplant, the wiki so far doesn't say how He died, My bet is His body rejected the liver, It does happen and I've read the body will die without a working liver and so far the idea of an artificial liver(dialysis) does work, but It's not for extended use so far. He also had pancreatic cancer, and a very aggressive form. I suspect it was not the liver rejection but the pancreatic issue that took him so young. Pancreatic cancer is--almost guaranteed--to be a death sentence. I have a friend who was diagnosed and went within 6 months...another in 4. |

According to the Wiki, His cancer was not aggressive. In mid-2004, Jobs announced to his employees that he had been diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in his pancreas.[111] The prognosis for pancreatic cancer is usually very poor; Jobs, however, stated that he had a rare, far less aggressive type known as islet cell neuroendocrine tumor.[111] After initially resisting the idea of conventional medical intervention and embarking on a special diet to thwart the disease, Jobs underwent a pancreaticoduodenectomy (or "Whipple procedure") in July 2004 that appeared to successfully remove the tumor.[112][113] Jobs apparently did not require nor receive chemotherapy or radiation therapy.[111][114] The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Though I personally don't care for Apple products, the industry is better for him having been a part of it, and I don't know if it will be the same without him. |

OMG........ I never owned any Apple products, but still recognize the contributions this man made to technology in general as well as the massive successes of Apple. I am sure that his innovations have touched my life even if not owning them directly. You have worked long and hard. Rest in peace, Steve. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Like OzFan, I am not enamored of his products, but I admired his creativity, his drive and his passion. ditto that. I've yet to spend a dime on Apple products. Though I'm amazed at his marketing techniques that hook the masses. In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |

Please refrain from mentioning that group in my thread. My thread is meant to honor Steve Jobs and not to give that group any attention whatsoever. Thank you |
