Interesting question gets an interesting answer 53% or 1%. As to "anarchists" that is the word they use to self describe, if press reports can be believed, same as in the WTO protests. Thug might be the word I would use. Many groups label themselves as the very thing they are not so they seem "fair and balanced" to the world. As to 99%, I see where there is a new stat out that the older generation has 47 times the wealth of the younger generation. The older generation likely knew someone who lived through the Great Depression. Coincidence? Now teapublicans would march to the Battle Hymn of the Republic, something libertarians might find offensive. |

Well, being older than most (my wife and I are in our 60's) we are significantly higher on the networth versus the income scales. And yes, of course, our parents lived during the Depression. You can now rank yourself and see what part of the 99% you are. |

OK -- but for the descriptive of 'thugs' I can see employing that to describe some of the big banks and what they do to the less fortunate -- it is all in manner of speaking. Regarding statistics stating that (at least some) of the older generation have more assets -- that seems sort of self-evident. I certainly have more than 50 times the wealth that I did when I was 25 -- I'm now in my 60's. So I am not so sure that this tells us that much in the general scheme of things. A more interesting question would be along the lines of, comparing the wealth someone who is 30 years now, to someone who was 30 years old 30 years ago, and factoring inflation, what is the ratio at the same age? That's more of a complex question though, and complexity is sadly beyond the ken of most voters today it seems.

"American public need to rise and hang every billionare and millionare piece shits in america." Fine idea there... Just go around and hang everyone who makes a billion. What about people like Warren Buffit and Bill Gates who are heads of the "Tax me More" movement but also will donate 90-99% of their wealth to charities around the world. Second: Is that really the solution to the problem? The problem is not actually the so called 1% and Multi-national corporations but actually the lack of legislation and governing of the market. One cannot blame the corporations for trying to be better than the other even though they use "questionable" lobbying and practices. One has to be pissed off with the government for not only letting this stuff happen but also playing too big of a part then it needs to. |

The main problem with Occupy is that they seem to want to destroy their own movement. They have major health issues (as in nastiness..), and they seem to like to rape/murder their own. It's being targeted from within by sicko's who don't actually want to protest anything, but cause as much trouble as possible. Besides all that, the seem to miss the whole point about how wealth distribution and killing capitalism won't work in a country this large. Look at Europe.. I know! They should all just move to Europe and get a taste of how awesome their ideas are. I vote to send them to Greece for 3 months. Terry |

If Greece had any sense or say in the matter they would default on the debt and leave the European union. I am not sure how your comments about destruction of Capitalism and what is going on in Europe are linked. Could you explain in a little more detail please? Reality Internet Personality |

I wonder if the Southern Euro zone countries (Greece, Italy, Spain and Portugal) will grab a clue and 'partial default' by creating a 'southern euro' -- at about 60% of the northern Euro. I figure that would help their economies and competitiveness. Right now, at Euro rates, these four markets can't compete on the world market with goods and services. And in its way, Germany is now working to make things a bit worse for these countries by trying to pull educated, skilled, and younger folks from those countries into Germany for work.

I see The Occupy Movement has decided Their Job and Purpose is not to Enlighten The World of Government and Corporate Greed/Corruption, but to Be Arrested for The Sole Purpose of Pissing off The Police/Authorities. Thank Goodness there are Plenty of Laws for them to break and plenty of Police to arrest them. It is Good to have Full Time Work. Dull May we All have a METAMORPHOSIS. REASON. reminder: the 99%ers have no agenda and no leaders. Soooo, Civil disobedience at times is a good thing. BTW the company I work for was bought up by McKesson. The McKesson CEO is now the #1 compensated CEO in the US. He receives $133 million in cash and stock options every year for doing nothing more than dressing up for a few hours a day and making it look like he's the genius that made the corporation #7 on forbe top corporation list. It's being targeted from within by sicko's who don't actually want to protest anything, but cause as much trouble as possible. Sure. Occupy doesn't like Capitalism at all. The European model is basically a Nanny state. This is what the Occupy movement in the end wants. The rich paying the way of the poor. I don't mean all European countries, but the vast majority of them. It turns the people into basically children on a teat. Look at what happened in France when they raised the retirement age from like 60-62. People went nuts in the streets because they are so used to entitlements. People do not like to see change in any way when this is what they are used to. Capitalism prevents this sort of thing. Socialism condones it. You cannot take from the few (Rich, job creators) and give to the many (everyone else). In the US we are all afforded the same opportunities. Some of us make it, some do not. I personally haven't. However that being said, there will never be the day I am marching like an idiot with the Occupiers who want to take what they have not earned. You may not agree with me, and that is fine. That's the great thing about human beings. We have free will to believe and state what we wish. :D Best sign I've seen at an Occupiers rally: Get a job and Occupy a DESK! Of course that was a counter-protester. Lol Terry |

Dull, perhaps they saw the hopelessness of enlightening folks such as yourself, and in despair opted for being arrested. <g> I see The Occupy Movement has decided Their Job and Purpose is not to Enlighten The World of Government and Corporate Greed/Corruption, but to Be Arrested for The Sole Purpose of Pissing off The Police/Authorities. |

Indeed they should, I am so glad that we don't have sustained high unemployment so they all can get a job easily. Oh wait....

You think it's going to help them get a job if they sit in a park for 2 months holding signs, shooting up, murdering, raping, and generally being pricks? Probably not. Terry |
