Message 1158178 - Posted: 2 Oct 2011, 9:23:38 UTC

You are getting the message

"To use all the applications of this project, working in the GP, update the driver to the latest version"

Your GPU driver seems rather old, did you try to update.

Not to forget downloads are very random these days.
But since the servers suggest a driver update i would try it.

Google translate tells me that the line in Russian says

"To use all the applications of this project, working in the GP, update the driver to the latest version"

You have "NVIDIA GeForce GT 240M (1024MB) driver: 18680". I would have thought that would be good enough, but evidently not. Try updating your driver from http://www.nvidia.ru/Download/index.aspx?lang=ru - use NVidia drivers, not the drivers from Windows Update.

It looks that way. According to the BOINC FAQ, a minimum driver version of 185.85 is required for 6.10.x and above clients. Update the drivers to the latest (280.26 I believe), and all should be well :)

Well, you see, my current drivers version is rather situable. Moreover, I can't update it 'cause NVIDIA installer ver.280 said "there is no compatible hardware" 8-0
All in all, a couple day ago GPU tasks were download and crunched sucsessfully with current drivers...

Make sure you try the Laptop drivers, and not the Desktop drivers.

Yes, I did.

I can only suggest you download and try a different version driver next,

If you managed to get Cuda 6.08 work a few days ago with the 186.80 drivers, and now you can't, then something has changed with the scheduler,
It has certainly Broken ATI work fetch here,

There's a 266.58 version for 240M in the Beta/older drivers section at Nvidia drivers download and status is recommended/certified. 266.58 works for me on a GT 240 without M,

Last GPU tasks I had was September 28. Since that I am getting this message

2.10.2011 13:40:06 | SETI@home | Sending scheduler request: To fetch work.
2.10.2011 13:40:06 | SETI@home | Requesting new tasks for NVIDIA GPU

2.10.2011 13:41:00 | SETI@home | No tasks are available for Astropulse v505

I do get CPU tasks now and then. In my case, could it be something with scheduler as Claggy mentioned? I turned GPU off for a while.

Message 1158333 - Posted: 2 Oct 2011, 18:43:54 UTC - in response to Message 1158306.

I have seen the same issue and I am currently out of workunits.

10/2/2011 1:41:29 PM | SETI@home | update requested by user
10/2/2011 1:41:33 PM | SETI@home | Sending scheduler request: Requested by user.

10/2/2011 1:42:11 PM | SETI@home | No tasks are available for SETI@home Enhanced
10/2/2011 1:42:11 PM | SETI@home | Tasks for CPU are available, but your preferences are set to not accept them

I have reset my project, I have verified my SETI@Home Enhanced is enabled, I have maximized my cache to the 10 day setting, and I have updated my GPU to version 280.26. I have not been able to get any more work.

I have been running other projects on my CPUs, and I don't want that to change. I guess I will have to wait for something to change with the project...

you could always trick seti by setting your computers to accept CPU work then converting them all to GPU work with the rescheduler

http://www.efmer.eu/forum_tt/index.php?topic=428.0
simply download the rescheduler, unzip, then run(64 for 64bit systems,32 for 32 bit). It will show how many CPU and GPU tasks you have on the first page. Just adjust the limits to when the rescheduler will move tasks and how many you want moved. Then click run. it will take a minute or 3 to check your WU's then to move them. YOu'll see your BOINC manager go into standby or lose conectivity when it reschedules. That is normal. You may even need to restart BOINC. In the end you should be able to reschedule all your work to the GPU

I have downloaded and installed the rescheduler. I am struggling connect to SETI@Home server to get CPU work now.

I will give it a few hours and check the progress. I will provide an update when there is new information.

Thanks for your help!

Just an FYI for a PM I received, The rescheduler will NOT reschedule WU's that are already in progress.
