Mars: Phobos, 20 km of Layered Rock?

http://www.esa.int/SPECIALS/Mars_Express/SEM21TVJD1E_1.html Assuming that Phobos is a chunk of mars, then that means that Mars is a huge layered rock as well. So, are the layers from collecting different materials (ie.. space dust, meteors) Maybe they should be landing a rover on Phobos. |
