Thanks Jeff!

My guess is that Berkeley updated their network software and now all the SAH upload/download traffic is being seen as a DOS attack so it's being blocked.

Anybody else want to toss a guess in the hat just for fun?

Sit back & wait while things carry on crunching while using less power (out of GPU but still got CPU atm).

I don't know what you guys did but just after I finished reading this my updates tried again and all went in. I then got 8 new GPU WUs to play with. They are all shorties but it's better than the nothing I had before. :-)

And seven more popped up as I finished writing this post. YAYYYYY

Whatever you just did, It's now faster than I've seen it for... years, upstream and down. I think it's because everyone else's client is waiting due to the outage.

Get while the getting's good!

I tested again all 4 server URLs and still no connection possible for my machine (again, like for a few weeks).

Hi!

After router restart I am off again.
Two ISPs in Slovenia.

Even proxy from "last router problem" does not work.

Hi:

I do not mean dump on you I.T. guys. I am sure you are doing the best you can with the resources at your disposal. Bottom line: Could this network with its reliability issues support a private enterprise or a government department?

The reoccurring reliability issues are making some of your numbers crunchers to more over to other sites.

All my machines are "stuck". Nothing coming up or down. Pings and trace routes to the servers all die. Looks like our friendly Hurricane Electric router is playing up again. (Mutter, grumble)

Every thing here has hit the, "This computer has reached a limit on tasks in progress", and my latest PC is hitting up a bit of work from my backup projects to keep busy. :(

Cheers.

Hi,

I seem to be having problems getting to your addresses that are under ssl.berkeley.edu.

I can't update projects or upload data to addresses that end on that addressing.

Normal berkeley.edu addresses (setiathome.berkeley.edu are fine.

Tried pinging and they don't complete on the ssl addresses but suspect that is possibly normal.

Anyway, I'm sure you're aware of this and will work it out when you have some cycles to investigate.

Thanks and regards.

Our router at the PAIX was restarted (I'm guessing by someone at Packet Clearing House). This appears to have fixed the problem.

Restarting the router has had the HE problem resurface.
