At least you weren't stuck at Gatport Airwick by fog:

Thanks Chris.

As you say some funny weather about.

However it is (supposedly) autumn so we should expect a bit of fog, it to be less warm, or should that be more cold?

My pet spider has just started it autumnal trick - it spins a web between the top of the steering wheel and the driver's head rest in the few minutes it takes to fill up with fuel and pay. This web is spun when the car is left overnight, only when I leave it for short periods of time during the day...

When the colder night come on (this week I believe from CountryFile), on nights with heavy dew, then the lawns will be covered by little carefully constructed spider webs (lots and lots of them).

Hi Magenta

I have about three pet spiders in my room. They are having a steady diet of flies, so I tolerate them.

Also the big spiders tend to keep the smaller ones at bay - as I learned when I rehomed a rather large one to the garden and it was replaced by dozens of small ones. I'm not sure which one to prefer...

I only tolerate Daddy Long Legs. Wicky the term.

I must say the Daddy Long Legs don't seem to be as prolific this year as previous years.

In the past, the front door was covered in them on dewy days, and they swarmed in to the house. Took ages to catch them all and sling them back outside.

How come?

We don't see many of our antipodean friends in here these days?

Have they been put off by the high quality of the food and drink available?

Or is it the lack of sherry for the Sheilas?

Or the presence of Sheilas?

They were certainly a classic set of ads.
Two dangers, one from the actors collapsing in a heap in advance of the final dead-pan delivery of the punchline, the second me spilling my drink on hearing the punchline.

Greeting everyone. I've been surprised at the lack of daddy long legs where I am, plenty of spiders in the garden to make up for it though.

It's been like that for past few hours here, but, now it's all settled down and gone eerily quiet.

While those outside may have gone for a flight, my pet is still there and doing its thing and spinning its web betwixt steering wheel and head rest.

Quick! Find some bamboo, some charcoal, some sulpher, er, some other stuff and grind it up, mix it together to fashion yerself a Gorn gun.
