Looks like it was to far from any major population centers. Another bullet dodged.

I was out shopping and didn't even know there had been one until my mum texted me to say the whole house had been shaking. She was quite freaked out.

Didn't feel a thing at my house but some people I know who work in office towers downtown said they could feel the building swaying.

Very glad to hear that Hev, Esme, amd Kenzie are all OK. :-)) The bad news is that the Pacific North-West is way overdue for an 8 or 9 shaker. :| The Pacific Northwest is a region in northwestern North America, bounded by the Pacific Ocean to the west and, loosely, by the Rocky Mountains on the east. Definitions of the region vary and there is no commonly agreed upon boundary, even among Pacific Northwesterners. A common concept of the Pacific Northwest includes the U.S. states of Oregon and Washington, and the Canadian province of British Columbia. ____________ Damsel Rescuer, Kitty Patron, Raccoon Friend, Uli Fan, Julie Supporter, ES99 Admirer, PETA Member, 1st Childhood

And in between the Ocean and the Rockies, is the volatile Cascade Range, One of which blew up and rebuilt itself a bit, Mt St Helens...

As was said earlier ... Hev was nearer to the epicentre than Kenzie and I. She certainly got a scare. Lots of people here in Vancouver didn't even notice it unless they were in tall buildings. My aunt felt it and she wasn't far from me, but was up in a tall building. ____________ In the beginning the Universe was created. And in between the Ocean and the Rockies, is the volatile Cascade Range, One of which blew up and rebuilt itself a bit, Mt St Helens... We can see Mount Baker from out window, it's the same classification as Mt St Helens was about a year before it blew. ____________ In the beginning the Universe was created. Yes, it was scary. The whole house shook and stuff was rattling around. No damage though. I think I need earthquake training..

bad news is that the Pacific North-West is way overdue for an 8 or 9 shaker. :| Very glad no one was hurt. I have not heard that any one in workers’ paradise of Alberta felt anything. You are right about the chances of a bigger one coming. I hope it is not in our lifetimes. ____________

And in between the Ocean and the Rockies, is the volatile Cascade Range, One of which blew up and rebuilt itself a bit, Mt St Helens... We have some cones here in Yermo and there's Elephant Mountain, all are volcanic and all are I think extinct. Oh and if You ever visit Tokyo Japan, Mt Fuji is a similar volcano to Mt St Helens and was a virtual twin, can You say powder keg waiting to go BOOM? Los Angeles has only Mt Baldy and as far as I can tell, It has sensors all over It from what I read once. Oh and Yes I'm glad that the people in Vancouver are alright. ____________ BSG Anthem My Facebook page

And in between the Ocean and the Rockies, is the volatile Cascade Range, One of which blew up and rebuilt itself a bit, Mt St Helens... Vic, Mt Baldy and all of the San Berdo range are the result of uplift. None are Volcano, dormant or otherwise. Remember the plates are mostly slipping by each other here at the moment. We don't have the subduction that is occurring north of us. Glad to hear that all of our friends to the north are ok.

We seem to be a bit more fortunate here in the Southwest; even when CA has their "big ones", we don't feel it here in AZ. Must be something about all the granite around here (north-central AZ).
