hi there Change the values of -instances_per_device 1 to 2 and change the count values to 0.5 to run 2 Wu's at once, that should improve GPU usage, if you want to run 3 Wu's at once, change the instances values to 3 and the count values to 0.33 Claggy |

You have a very nice card. To get more out of it you'll need to edit your app_info. where your cmdline says "number of iterations" make it 2. Then go to your <count> and change that to 0.5 . This will run 2 instances of the WU's. Be very careful to do this adjustments on all instance you find. Failing that you may bugger up the way the GPU runs work. You are also running the Cat 11.8 drivers. Any driver beyond the 11.2 tend to run a bit slower and use the GPU less. Try backing off to the 11.2 and see if that helps. You may find, like I did, that the 11.2 is very unstable and crashes your PC when it goes to idle. In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |

tanks for the responce but i have had a look but i have about 5 instances all in different sections do i change them all ???? you have four enties for Astropulse, and two for Multibeam, only the first entries for each is used, (unless you have old work branded as one of the others), so it's up to you, Claggy |

you'll need to uninstall the 11.8 and then use driver sweeper to get any drivers that weren't uninstalled. then go through the add/delete programs and make sure no ATI or SDK programs are still there(excluding AMD overdrive etc). Restart Windows then install the ATI drivers. Make sure BOINC is off when you install the drivers. In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |
