This is the closest. I am not going to be able to do anything this weekend, so a winner must be declared.

The answer was 4593.

Well I don't know if John will get back to us with an answer but in the mean time the pumpkins must turn. This being the seasons for all thing ghoulish, my questions is how many pumpkins did I have in my yard lat year. I will give the first hit the number is less than the distance between John's two continents.

Ok, pumpkins are crawlers and they take up a lot of space. I know you have a big yard, but one can only use so many pumpkins. Also you don't want more than 2 fruits per plant because, per that picture you posted of one of your carving efforts, you go for quality, not quantity.

I'll guess you harvested 16 good sized pumpkins.

(But then again I am becoming known for my spectacularly wrong answers...)

I did not ask how many I harvested. That number is in the hundreds. I have a small farm where I grow them. Most I give to the schools in the area so that every kid has at least one pumpkin. That said I am not going to comment futher on your post until we have a few more answers. Oh and not all of them were carved to the same detail. You should see what I can do with power tools.

Wonderful thing, giving to kids that might otherwise feel left out.
I happened to be there, because my mom and dad did not feel it was an important holiday, and realistically, it's not.
But you can't tell the kids that when everybody else at school is having a go at it and they cannot join in with their classmates.

Top notch you are, Carlos.

Top notch.

Thank you Mark, and I totally agree with you Angela. We have two entries so far. One is high and one is low. You now have a range.

I think 3 guesses each should be sufficient. At the moment everyone except Angela is high.
