Problem is, Will future generations eventually forget? My Niece was born in Nagasaki Prefecture Japan, Nearer to Sasebo, My Brother was stationed there while He was in the US Navy along with His Wife, They didn't know the A-Bomb had been dropped in that area of Japan, at least not until I told them a few years later. Problem is, Will future generations eventually forget? He was in the military and did not know the names of the two cities that had nuclear weapons dropped on them? BOINC WIKI |

Most likely he means the kids....... I have met lots of Japanese people who don’t seem to know a whole lot about the war. |

Most likely he means the kids....... It is embarrassing to them now, and they would rather not talk about it... BOINC WIKI |

Problem is, Will future generations eventually forget? Yep, From 1962-1982, He'd been in a car wreck before joining the Navy and that forced Him to take notes cause of short term memory problems, He was lucky He wasn't belted in as the car roof had caved in, otherwise He would have been dead He said. History wasn't a requirement for enlistment, He just didn't want to go to Vietnam He said. But He did get the right to wear gold stripes and hash marks instead of the normal Red ones, But He never wore the Gold as He just wanted to be one of the guys, He only retired as there were no Diesel Engined Ships anymore, He had to take any duty just to get to 20 years. Perps, you can hide, you can run, but we are coming for you. And in the years hence, we have found and taken down most of you. Think again before you wake the Great Eagle. Bless our American cousins. I remember when it happened. It broke my heart to see it. Dont forget, big `ole Eagle, there is a Lion behind you. Bless you all on your day of rememberence. |

The attack on the World Trade Center in New York was an attack on the whole world, although Americans bore the brunt. I've watched some of the (excellent) CNN coverage and join the prayers which have been offered. I have a particular reason to feel involved with the victims: my name (except for middle initials) appears twice on the memorial: Michael Roberts (Ladder Company 35, Engine Company 214). |

With blind hatred they struck...Leaving thousands dead...And millions more in mourning...Now we have seen the results of their hatred for us...And they have seen the results of our response...I hope that someday we can end this cycle of destruction...And that the nations of the Earth can put their resources to use in ways that will make life better...for all people... We also need to not paint with a broad brush, that all Muslims are bad, only a few Muslims are, just as in WWII those Americans of Japanese descent were not bad people, nor were their cousins overseas, the ones here had nothing to do with the Japanese Government, nor loyalty to It, but then the laws then were racist in their intent and The US has a ways to go to redeem Itself of the racist baggage so that this won't happen to others. My background is of Irish/French/English ethnicity and I do know the Irish were treated badly as racism was at work and some were racist too, I myself am not of course, as everyone is Human, hate is wrong, being different is not bad, It's just that We are all unique. [morethanIshouldsay] On that day 20 years ago, I had the day off from work. I had plans to go and pick up some paperwork from another county regarding a child custody case. I awoke to the news on the television, with disturbingly controlled voices such as the anchors use when something really bad is going on. I watched as the second plane hit the tower, proceeded to get dressed and on the road for 100 mile journey(each way) to the courthouse. When I arrived, I was searched outside of it, allowed to enter, then told they were closed. They were not without compassion though, they handed me the papework, saying they could not accept payment that day. But I never can forgive my ex, that I could not wrap my arms around my children that day. [/morethanIshoudsay] Janice |

The closest connections that I know about that I have to the towers are two survivors. The brother of one of the firemen that was pulled out of the rubble alive was working for my father at the time. My sister's mother in law was staying in the hotel. BOINC WIKI |

Condolences on the loss of your kitty friend, Jim. It's always hard to lose one. Maybe you have a place in your heart for a new kitty one day. It will help. Meow. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |
