How to get back old account ?

This is my old account :

Since many years, I have not work for Seti and I would like to start again.

I know my old registered email but I have forgot my password.

Unfortunately I have no more access to my registered email (it was my old job email) thus I can't receive my old password at that email.

I have installed Boinc and created a new account - with an more durable email ;-)
What I have to do for 'transfering' my old account to the new one ?

I also was the owner of a Group and the 2 other members were single PCs at my job office and are no more active. What I have to do for erasing these accounts and this Group ?

As this happened back in 2005 I wonder how the "real Classic account" look like
and are there "real Classic accounts" in existence today
(as they were automatically converted to "preliminary" BOINC accounts)?

Yes. You can tell whether it is a migrated Classic account or a new account by the user ID. I don't remember the switch over point, but there was a gap of a million or so. The BOINC user ID for a converted classic account is the rank at the time of conversion. My account is a converted classic account.

User IDs under a million are all converted Classic accounts.

Since the old account looks as if it had never been used, try to log in without (empty) password.

Sorry, I thought I'd remember that the automatically generated BOINC accounts had an empty password, but that has been a long time ago. :-)

Yes, I see the date to the left of the posts changed to "Joined: 5 Apr 00"

I think you can claim ownership of a team and if the current owner doesn't object within a month, you'll become the new owner. But since I'm not involved with teams either, I'm not quite sure.

Actually, if it was 2001, it would have been a classic account. If you reclaim it with the classic users link from the home page, that would work if you had not already reclaimed it.

I don't want to hijack this thread but is there a way to determine an old SETI@Home email account? Like the OP, I know the original email address, but have no access to it (private redirection company went out of business) and the normal range of passwords I used at that point are not working. When trying to claim the account, I get: This e-mail address (stevenu@x) belongs to an active BOINC account, so we can't transfer its credit to your account.

Is there a way to determine what that active account is? Would it be the same email address (and thus the account is not recoverable) or possibly a different address and I already claimed the older account. I don't remember ever using BOINC, but it is possible, but there are over a dozen email addresses it could be.
