My thoughts exactly & I'd bet that the ordinary citizens won't see a penny of it - it'll all be spent on the various private armies & palaces......

The Libyan TNC said they want to have elections for Parliament and a Prime Minister in 8 months, sounds good, they'll get help from European governments to keep from becoming a lawless state, but then supposedly Libya has the worlds 4th largest oil deposits in the world and the country may have more than that, as the last time a survey was done was years ago and technology has changed a lot since 30 or so years ago. Oh and the oil there has mainly gone to Europe cause of Kadaffy's irrational hate of the USA, will any oil ever come here? We'll see. The USA and Europe have helped a grateful people who live in Libya and a friendly government in the making as We did what was asked and no more to kickout ol Frizzhead who'd clearly worn out His welcome with the Libyan People.

Wasn't Saddam a western backed rebel leader the same as this current lot
in Libya. Ever known a western backed rebel leader that once in power stayed
pro-western?

No, the wiki says this about Saddam:

Iraq wrote:
The US broke relations with Iraq in 1967. After al-Bakr seized power in 1968, relations remained severed for 16 years and the US made arms sales to Iraq illegal. In June 1972 all foreign businesses including the Iraq Petroleum Company were seized and Iraq declared oil would be used as "a political weapon in the struggle against imperialism and Zionism".[11]

Saddam assumed power in a counter-coup in 1979.

Imperialism, Zionism, Communism, Americanism, Europeanism, Christianism, Cathicolism, Jewism, Muslimism, Africanism, Chinaism, Indiaism, Womanism, Manism,
Humanism, Arabism. very things an 'ism'...if it hasn't got an 'ism' then it's not worth knowing about so what have these desert countries got to worry about.

Their Dictators futures maybe, I don't know. I'm hoping Kadaffy will be captured or killed soon, once thats done His support should start fading, quicker if He's dead though.

UK Intelligence Services worked hand-in-hand with Gaddafi

If these allegations prove to be correct, then I think a scandal greater than the NotW one will occur.
