I need to purchase some dual monitor boards. My need is only to support dual monitor, no games, etc. I thought I might try Cuda. Could anyone comment on these 3 EVGA boards? http://www.evga.com/products/moreInfo.asp?pn=01G-P3-1521-KR&family=GeForce%20500%20Series%20Family&sw= http://www.evga.com/products/moreInfo.asp?pn=01G-P3-1526-KR&family=GeForce%20500%20Series%20Family&sw= http://www.evga.com/products/moreInfo.asp?pn=02G-P3-1529-KR&family=GeForce%20500%20Series%20Family&sw= Is more memory better, memory speed, etc ???? I have a GT430 and it supports 2 monitors. The GT520 should do that as well. The higher priced cards require more power, deliver much better performance, and of course crunch much faster. Even my old GT220 could handle 2 monitors just fine and dandy. Oh and. I like EVGA. Janice |

I'm not so sure about the little fans on those cards. If all you want it for is to connect two screens then any new basic graphics card will do, and a passively cooled card would be ideal. Passively cooled cards aren't usually ideal for number crunching though, so if you're keen for it to be used in this way think about budget, power requirements and how the card is cooled. Brian. |

Well, I purchased 3 of the below units, one for each of 3 machines. All machines are identical. Link to one: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_host_detail.php?hostid=4693636 I am running 5.10.45 with opti aps, AP only. 5.10.45 because some of my other machines are servers and I wanted to keep them all the same. Anyone care to point me to the correct versions of Boinc and apps to support the new gpu's. I will continue with cpu and gpu crunching. http://www.evga.com/products/moreInfo.asp?pn=02G-P3-1529-KR&family=GeForce%20500%20Series%20Family&sw= Thanks in advance Dave |

Well, I purchased 3 of the below units, one for each of 3 machines. All machines are identical. Link to one: IIRC I think you want at least 6.3.xx for GPU support. Tho 6.6.xx or 6.10.xx would probably be better. SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours Join the [url=http://tinyurl.com/8y46zvu]BP6/VP6 User Group[ |
