You will have to be more clear. You can't log in where?
Is the message you get "BOINC Manager cannot connect to a client"? If so, please check this FAQ first.

In other words, we need to know Exactly what error message appears, when, and where.

Thats the message i get and did all that, it dosent work.
Firewall is ok, no GPU or port issues.

In other words, we need to know Exactly what error message appears, when, and where.

The messag is the one above, it appears when i try to start the program and it only stated when i got the message about the screen saver issue. I tried to use a diferent client and this all started to appear.

Thanks for all the help you guys can give me.

This is typically a firewall issue.

This is typically a firewall issue.

Not the case.

I tried with the firewall disconnected and nothing.

PS: My last resort was to delete all together both Program Files\Boinc and ProgramData\Boinc lets see if this works now.

I will give news when it does or not.

Can someone help me??
I have downloaded BOINC just yesterday. I have been trying to download tasks from seti@home but it always says "communication deferred" and starts some random countdown ranging from 10 seconds to 3 hours. I've checked various posts from the forums but couldn't find an answer. I'm also posting the messages in the event log.

This graphic log will show the inbound and outbound data traffic at this time. As you can see, the outbound traffic is pegged at 90Mbit, the maximum the project can do with their 100Mbit pipeline. That's what's causing your back-offs. We all have them.

It took my BOINC half the weekend to get its 6 tasks. Don't worry, as long as it was necessary that you allowed BOINC to pass through your firewall, your work will eventually be coming in. Just have patience.

I'm getting a similar problem. Just installed BOINC and trying to update the projects (SETI@home & Milkyway@home, in my case) and it gives me a 'scheduler request pending, requested by user', then a 'communication defered (countdown)', and then nothing. HELP! The only reason I'm interested is because my dad used to do SETI@home and I thought I should, too, because I leave my computer on 24/7, so I have all sorts of computer time that can be put to use! if it won't work, I'll remove it and consider it a BAD DEAL!

Right now, the servers are recovering from a long outage. You should be able to get work sometime during the next day.

There are also other projects to attach to with BOINC. You could always attach to a couple of other projects in addition to SETI in case of an outage here.
