When I try to use any of the Web Site buttons (SETI@home, message boards, help, Your Account, Your Preferences) the program opens my default word processor (Abiword) instead of my default web browser (Firefox). Does anybody have any idea what is going wrong? About the only thing I can come up with is that the program is handing off something like a URL to the operating system which gets misinterpreted via the mime rules as one of the wordprocessing document formats. However I can't imagine how this might happen.

Ideas anyone?

Thanks in advance.

BOINC uses the operating system's default browser. You have to tell the OS what your default browser is, which isn't done through that browser.

See this FAQ for the how-to.

Woo hoo!
Thank you so much. This had had me completely confounded, but the answer is trivial when you know what to look for.

Yay! :)
