New task took forever to appear in the task window as the server was not responding to BOINC or web access. It now is still just sitting there in "downloading" status at 0.000%.

Could it be berkeley.edu servers are slammed? under maintenance? what gives if you know.

You shouldn't ask the same question in two different threads. ;-)

What does the status column in the Transfer tab tell you?

Pardon my impropriety ;-(

Problem seems to have resolved itself in the meanwhile since posting. Task is running now.

Obviously transfer status is now moot ;-)
