Out by Naval Air Station Lemoore, there are lots of skunks, who don't always take care crossing streets at night. You hit one, you KNOW, and so does everyone within a mile or so. And the aroma lingers for several days. Worse than 3-day-old fish in a hot car. (Anybody got a link to the old Jed Strunk song, Dead Skunk?) Actually the Emergency Vet said to use: 1 Quart of Hydrogen Peroxide 2 TBSPS of Baking Powder some Dawn dish soap Mix in a bowl lightly (not shaken in a bottle or it blows up like a 5th grader Science Volcano experiment). Coat her fur with it and let it sink in...then wash after 10 mins. ID: 1129806 ·
