Message 1129193 - Posted: 18 Jul 2011, 14:17:10 UTC - in response to Message 1129172.

Something happened on the Cricket graph - you have got that bookmarked, haven't you? - about an hour ago, which indicated the release of a logjam somewhere.

Before that, uploads were going through - sometimes - but very slowly, with big pauses at 16 KiB, 32 KiB (if needed) and at 100%. Downloads were OK, but even with low traffic and a reasonable number ready to send, I was only getting one task allocated at a time. Now I'm getting multiple-WU allocations - so of course the pipe is immediately clogged, lol. And I promise no mention of the yellow bird unless it keeps up like this for another 41 hours....

I did see a spike on cricket before I posted, but since I hadn't receive so much as a single byte I asked about it anyway.

Still don't get any connection/download on 2 PCs even though cricket seems to ease up again.

Whatever they did appears to be working (at least for now). Scheduler requests go through, each one gets at least some work (10-24 Work Units), and most WOrk Units download at a rate i haven't seen in months (30-50kB/s). Still get the occasional sticky download, but overall at this rate my caches could be full within a day- very impressive considering how low they are.
Just hope it continues.

Did the SETI project fail to come back online after the Tuesday weekly outage?
It's not too many computers, it's a lack of circuit breakers for this room. But we can fix it :)

If I am reading you correctly Yes I can. I assume you mean from the website's account page.

Edit if you mean my Boinc Tasks tab on my computer Yes also. So yes both ways.

Well I cannot from my account page presently but I also think that the duck may have got into the server closet while the guys were doing the weekly service as not much has been working properly since. :(

I hope that they get it sorted out in the next week or I may have to call on my backup projects.

Cheers.

Same thing here as Byron mentioned. You should always have a backup plan.

Yes yes NO.

Both my small machines are visible but the main cruncher is rather shy.

I also can't report/get new tasks but they're uploading. We're still in the 'down' period so no worries.

Something is sure mucked up....
All attempts to report seem to be ending in HTTP internal server error.

Some reports are getting through, BUT there seems to be an awaiting validation queue.

Something is seriously tangled.
I can pull up my account page, but when I click on tasks, it just sits there waiting forever.
Likewise, I can pull up my computers, but if I click on tasks for any one of them, no go.
Got one rig that has been able to report, the other 2 have just been getting the internal server errors.
Carolyn has been rock solid. Bruno, doing the validating, not so.

Either something is still trying to resynch after the outage, or something did not mesh right when everything was brought back up.

What happened???
Before the outage i could upload results, request new work, have new work allocated & download it. Things were chugging along the best they've been at any time in the last couple of months.
Since the outage, until just now, all i could do was upload results.
