It appear that you are running an AMD 250. This isn't the fastest CPU on the block. You can improve your crunching by using the Lunatics installer to install optimized apps for your AMD. this will cut your running times down by about 1/2 In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Good Day, I have been crunching Seti since 1999. I recently added a new system. I communicate with the server but oi get a message that communication is differed for a while. It seems to be a download issue. I have other systems on the same connection doing fine and I'm stuck. Regards OEF Crusader |

Okay, I've heard of double posts (managed one or two myself:-), but five? ;-) Is the new computer shown on your Computers on this account page? (I think it's this one) It might very well be a download issue, because one of the two download servers appears nonfunctional. You can wait until your BOINC client retries on its own and by chance selects the "right" server or you could speed up the process by clicking Update. Since you are still running a 6.10 version of BOINC, it might be necessary to stop the client (not the manager alone) to clear the internal network buffer between updates. I'm not sure with which BOINC version the bug was removed. Gruß, Gundolf [edit]There are threads on the Number crunching (sub)forum where a temporary workaround with your etc/hosts file is mentioned.[/edit] |
