I think its time to donate a new PSU for Jason Gee.
His PSU died for some reason.

He is always helpful for everyone so i think he deserves it.

I know its RMA and might get replaced.
But it will take some time and i would like to see him getting a new one.
So he can take the other one as replacement.

Please PM me with your bets.

I´ll start with $20.

A worthy cause and a worthy gentleman.

I'll check the kibble bowls and see what I can come up with.

And I would nominate this, if we could get it to him.....
PC Power and Cooling 910w Silencer.....

Price is not bad, 7 year warranty.....best on the market as far as I am concerned.

Meow.

The kitties scavenged the kibble bowl and came up with a pledge of $50.00

LoL, thanks guys, but too early yet :) the RMA request is in & I'll know by Monday what the score is, and I'm sure there'll be no issues.

Look at it this way Jason, if it happens again it will only be a few minutes downtime instead of days or weeks.

Now hush and get ready to go shopping! :-)

I´ll put it this way.
Just buy another one, so you have a additional unit if something happens again.

Good one perryjay.

Dang Slavic, we're buying him a power supply not a new computer!! :-) Maybe he can get a couple or maybe a new graphics card to go along with it. Way to go everybody.

That was my thoughts exactly. He spends countless hours working on Lunatics and answering questions with wild abandon, IMO he's earned it.

How about this one:

KINGWIN Lazer LZ-1000 1000W Modular 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified $134.99/3 Year warranty.
It offers some eye candy too. :)

I think this would be a better selection.

Yeah Corsair makes great PSU's, I own one the CORSAIR Enthusiast Series CMPSU-650TX 80 PLUS Certified.
But their Pro series in the 1000 watt and higher are a bit pricey.

Not single 12v rail, would not recommend.
I still favor the PC Power and Cooling 910w with single 12v rail and 7 year warranty that I listed earlier.

I run a single 12V rail at 100.4 Amps, with a Corsair PSU, and at about 90% effeciency, It has helped to make my rig #3 in the top computers. I think this is the way to go.

Very good efficiency....I am sure it would be a fine PSU also.

But, I guess Jason himself should pick what he prefers.

Thanks so far guys.

We have $160 already.
With Slavacs $100 its $260.
Enough to get a AX 850.

Maybe we can make it a AX 1200.
