Same old, same old. Still can't upload finished WU's or get new ones. Getting close to the deadline the finished ones have to be reported. Looks like I will lose them. Wasted crunching time. Very frustrating. I like this project and have been with it since 1999, but I'm thinking of leaving and devoting all my computer time to Einstein@home or other projects. Makes no sense to devote computer time to crunching for this project and end up losing it because we can't report the finished WU's.

The machine at work can't ping the lab, but the ones at home are getting work.

While we are in the outage, can you guys reboot the router?

I cannot connect, either. I've tried the following Proxies with no luck.

12.118.224.151:80
216.24.193.211:8080
217.196.235.18:80
82.206.129.160:3128
145.254.22.10:8000
208.68.240.13

Tue Oct 11 16:41:49 2011 | SETI@home | Temporarily failed upload of 22jl11ae.1696.22971.3.10.200_0_0: connect() failed

That's the general error I've been getting. When I remove the proxy, it's not working that way either. I haven't been able to connect since Oct 5. :( My other project, World Community Project, it connecting fine, uploading and downloading projects.

I've been reading the posts hoping to find a fix but so far, no go.

So it might be worth to split UL\DL stream between them: the main stream leave by HE, but a little get through CENIC for people who can't reach HE. Am I right?

Messages tab is full of items like this:

SETI@home 13/10/2011 6:17:35am Requesting new tasks
SETI@home 13/10/2011 6:17:57am Scheduler request failed: HTTP gateway timeout

Any news on when more data will be available? I ran out of tasks well over a week ago and still no new downloads from SETI@home. It has run well on current machine for over a year without a glitch... I don't have to reconfigure anything for the current setup to get it going again do I?

Regards, Bryce.

That one is very important. You have problems and it can't send you work until you fix the problem. There is an error in the app_info.xml file on your machine. As I suspect you are using Lunatics optimized apps, re-install them. It should fix it.

Hello,

still I'm getting no WU's for all my computers using a proxy.
I've reboot the router for 2 times.
I can't upload finished WU's, and the deadline is the 14.10.2011.
So i will lose them, too.
Einstein@home works.
Very frustrating, so i'm with Richard1949.

doesn't that mean as much as that you may have to reset your project so that it installs fresh new code?

Part of the problem with the flakey router at HE PAIX is that it doesn't always block the same routes each time it resets. You may have to try several different proxies until you find one that works, and it may only work for a short time, then you have to find another one that can get through to S@H.

Hello.
Server status page shows that somebody uploads results.
I have 2800 results to upload and upload not working.
I use my local SQUID proxy and direct connect too, result is still "failed upload".

(trace & ping logs deleted - DLJ)

DNS working.
Connection by CESNET in Czech Republic.

Why someone sends results and I no ?
Thanks
Libor

Sounds like a certain sequence in Tron... EOL.

I try with my local SQUID proxy (all one IP address) and direct connect to S@H (different public IP adress). All attempts failed.
There is a list of public proxies that works with S@H?

In the Temporary Fix thread are several proxies that work or have worked for various people. If the one listed in the most recent post (216.24.193.211:8080) doesn't work for you, read down through the thread to find more.

Hello,
thank you for answer.
I try add into squid.conf parent proxy :
cache_peer 69.170.78.62 parent 3128 0 no-query default
cache_peer_domain 69.170.78.62 .ssl.berkeley.edu

This working now and I slowly send results.
Maybe I full up this proxy for S@H and I will try another.
Regards,
Libor

squid.conf :
cache_peer 69.170.78.62 parent 3128 0 no-query default max-conn=5
cache_peer_domain 69.170.78.62 .ssl.berkeley.edu
never_direct allow all

Maybe it helps someone.
