I just checked what my computer was working on and saw this one with "Unknown" for the Recorded from: location

Is this from the Kepler follow up observations?

the v7(kepler WU) aren't released yet as far as I know. The v7 is still in beta testing. It's unlikely yours is a v7 WU

Also I thought the screensaver (graphics) would be considerably different? There was a thread somewhere about that...though I will have to search for the thread. I believe it was a question I asked before.

EDIT: Found it: Green Bank Telescope observations to start Saturday.

No, you've rediscovered a long standing cosmetic bug in the application which has only been corrected in the source code very recently. There's an ID number for each recording source, before the multibeam recorder was installed at Arecibo only 0, 1, and 2 were defined, so 3 was coded to say "unknown". Data from the multibeam recorder uses 3 through 16 and includes descriptive text in the WU header, but 3 still shows that "unknown" while 4 through 16 show the correct "beam 0 polarity 1" through "beam 6 polarity 1" text.

So your task was from the Arecibo ALFA receiver beam 0 polarity 0. I guess GBT will probably have ID numbers 17 and 18 if the recorded data was able to get both polarities of the GBT L band receiver.
                                                                 Joe

So far the big cardboard box of Kepler data still sits unattended and forgotten...

Wouldn't it be so awesome if what we do to those WUs that we actually find something? Not necessarily aliens, but a planet with some form of life? Maybe we won't find anything, but this is the closest the public has gotten to data like this. I remember when PlanetQuest was going to be a big deal. Considering the time they have been taking to get off the ground at all, we need to consider ourselves very lucky to be able to do this.
