Upload is probably down, but won't show since the Server Status isn't refreshing. Last update was a bit over 5hrs ago...

Meh...I don't know if anything actually crashed. We are not 100% dead in the water...yet: http://fragment1.berkeley.edu/newcricket/grapher.cgi?target=/router-interfaces/inr-250/gigabitethernet2_3&ranges=d%3Aw&view=Octets. Graphs to me look like something somewhere is at a bottleneck because it's not totally flatlined.

The green part of the graph slowly declined all day Sunday, and the server stats haven't been updated for 24 hours. At the moment it's half past midnight on Monday morning on the USA West Coast, so I don't expect we'll see it fixed for about 12 hours or so. Now I know why I have a 4 day cache :-)

I have more than a 4 day cache. I was surprised when I got home from work to see the incredible cache I received before this 'bottleneck'.

It must be flat, cause I have 54 work units done and it refuse to upload.
also the download is not working, after tomorrow my download/work is empty
and upload totally full, so can anybody tell us something what is going on please!!!

Just because you cannot upload at the moment, doesn't mean its flat. Some people may be sneaking in an upload or two every so often as less people connect. The graph speaks for itself. You can see the difference in it from the last outage we had. That was totally flatlined, whereas this isn't quite there yet. You can tell because of the lifts in the green parts every so often. So some are getting uploads in and some are reporting them, just not many at all. Since many people are always trying to upload, or forcing BOINC to do so when one fails, it will make it harder for anyone but literally a few people to successfully do both.

as you can see by the 'red line' the raise in the green bars. That means some are connecting and uploading and reporting, just not many at all. that is why I suspect a bottleneck somewhere. This stalemate could also be severe traffic to the servers, which in turn overloaded then. If there was a massive failure somewhere, then I suspect no one would be able to do anything at all.

Ain't it time for a bigger server by now?

Probably a few...but feel free to donate ;)

I have a great idea, why not sell Seti&Home T-Shirts and key hangers
Stickers with Seti@Home..etc So to say to start a Seti@Home murchendise
OK its more work but the benefit would be larger and the people get
something back for it. I love to have Seti@Home slippers, and I can
make links to all of my website's. Like Facebook and Twitter and Lizard
and my own website, and of cause on Seti@Netherlands..uuhh just a idea;)

They could do that on http://www.cafepress.com. Maybe they have, but I have not checked to be honest.

How long will it take this time??

No-one will know until they open up the lab for Monday morning, and start to investigate what the problem might be - and that won't happen for another three hours at least (it's still early morning, Pacific time).

Patience, grasshopper.

Same problem here with SETI@home , I have 10 WU's that won't upload. Same problem for MilkyWay@home , I have 6 WU's that won't upload. What gives? I thought it was my system, so I booted into Lion, same problems. Your servers are down, period.

The average is NOT full flat as I said before. Look at the graph for a week. They were in worse position a week ago than now. At least there is some green. Last time there was none.

Millkyway has been down for about a week, see here.

No, it is not quite flat-lined. What we are seeing is probably the small percentage of traffic that is Scheduler requests and responses. No, or very few, uploads and downloads are going through.

It is 0745 PDT as I write, the guys will be at work within the hour. Things should begin to happen soon.,

And as I have so often said in the past, around here, patience is not just a virtue, it is a requirement.

Indeed i did state earlier that there are likely a few uploads and reports going through. But very little. They are still in better position than last week so I still don't think something "crashed" as bad as we had.

Yes, it looks as if the cavalry have arrived and are settling down to work. The Server Status Page has updated, and the upload server is now officially 'disabled', presumably for diagnosis, maintenance and - eventually - repair. But how long that will take, we don't yet know.

PS, as Woodruff says, a few tasks are creeping through. But I wouldn't expect a full opening of the floodgates just yet.
