I'd rather have a few raccoons in the back yard upsetting the bins than the thousands of midges and mosquitoes that appear the instant your unprotected arm protrudes from the back door. One thing to remember with the midges is that its only the females that bight, so if you are a man and are being bitten to death it is that you are highly attractive to females who just throw themselves at you before breading......
