I had died in VNam and furthered world peace.
Or at least in name, have done so.

I did not die there, or so I am told.

There was much more than just mortal slaughter.

They took away our youth.......and they took all our minds.......

And led us away from our daughters.

And they told us many times, after they shipped them back.....
'You are the sons of America......'
But I never saw that, with their wounds on their backs.
They were simply there, come hell or come have ya.

So now I sit simply, in sadness and shame.....
And wonder what war has done for us.
Bin Ladin and other shitholes of same name.
Would they have done the same thing had they warned us?

I wish, Jesus Christ, he would give us a clue.
And then we could bear who had borne us.

I am gonna go to sleep now........
Knowing that our American forces keep me safe for the moment.

I give them every grace of God,
because, no matter what they do........
They are responding to our chief in command.
And must do what he dictates, whether they agree with it or not.

They just do it.

Do not get me wrong.

I am a patriot.

Forever.

I just some times don't see the sacrifices we have made coming home.

As usual, I have said more than my share.

I go to sleep now, safe and secure with my kitties.....
Have we made the right choices, I sure cannot say.

But I know I sleep safe now with them close by my side.

More than most can say.
