Hi,

I transferred my old account successfully, downloaded and installed version 3.19 ok and am now trying to get this thing flying... But it just won't!

Yesterday, while trying to attach to the project, I only received messages about a software error at the server. Today these problems seem to be solved, but now no scheduler wants to talk to me (rather to my computer)...

This is the log:

http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/ - 2004-06-30 16:29:12 - Sending request to scheduler: http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/cgi
http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/ - 2004-06-30 16:29:19 - Scheduler RPC to http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/cgi failed
http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/ - 2004-06-30 16:29:19 - No schedulers responded
http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/ - 2004-06-30 16:29:19 - Deferring communication with project for 2 hours, 51 minutes, and 46 seconds
http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/ - 2004-06-30 17:29:19 - Deferring communication with project for 1 hours, 51 minutes, and 46 seconds
http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/ - 2004-06-30 18:29:19 - Deferring communication with project for 51 minutes and 46 seconds

Is there any setting I got wrong or is it just the infrastructure being overwhelmed by requests? But then again, I am already trying this now for about 9hrs (without manual interruption, only the automatic random delays)...

Thanks for any help,

Michael

In a news item on the main project webpage, we were told that all this week the staff at Berkeley would be working on the project servers, stabilizing them. While your difficulties MIGHT have been caused by too many requests during one of the times all servers were up, it is most likeley you tried when at least the project schedulers were offline for enhancement.
