No sir, I give them credit with the notion that they will at least make the attempt. Sure, but free will and free thought will always provide that someone will be sufficiently smart enough to check their statements and call bullshit when/where necessary. These people are always thinking in the long-term. If government agencies are in so much control over everything we see, hear, and essentially think, what makes anyone so sure that you could possibly be on the right track of "truth"? The very logic is self-defeating if one takes it far enough to it's only logical conclusion. I'm not saying they were stupid, not even suggesting...but, easily manipulated. Maybe not a test bed at the time but a darn good reference point on how people think as individuals and collectively. It's always easy to manipulate a group over the individual...God bless good old herd mentality. That suggests that people are nothing more than sheep that need to be herded. Don't be a sheep and you won't have that problem. Become sophisticated enough or learn to trust someone who is to know what is bullshit and what isn't. Always research your facts and always let the data lead you to the conclusion. Nor am I a conspiracy theorist by-and-large but to totally dismiss all alternate possibilities out-of-hand, is in my opionion a dangerous mistake, for an individual or society. To allow totally illogical bullshit to remain on the "idea" table only provides a means to allow one's self to throw out all critical thought on a subject, and keeps people thinking like unsophisticated neanderthals. "In solving a problem of this sort, the grand thing is to be able to reason backward. That is a very useful accomplishment, and a very easy one, but people do not practise it much. In the everyday affairs of life it is more useful to reason forward, and so the other comes to be neglected. There are fifty who can reason synthetically for one who can reason analytically." "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth." Those two quotes, from Sherlock Holmes, are great reasons to totally dismiss alternate possibilities out of hand. Use analytical thinking to eliminate the impossible and whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth. |

unfortunately, for us conspiracy theorists eliminate the logical without evidence to the contrary and jump to the conclusion that a conspiracy is a foot no matter how illogical. In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |

Area 51 Let me finish that for you: "... is hogwash". And everything you think you know about it is too. |

Area 51 And i suppose you have the inside details of this claim? Give me a break. You want to call what some are saying "illogical" when you have no evidence to back up your claims for that statement. I am not saying there are or were aliens there, but to make a statement like that, please back it up instead of insulting the thought process of everyone. Area 51 Prove that nothing was there? I'm not the one claiming that it's a secret UFO facility. I may as well prove to you that God doesn't exist too. |

Area 51 Neither was I. "By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible". Hebrews 11.3 |

Area 51 Did I say you were? I'll tell you what. We'll play this little game called "The person making the claim has to provide their evidence". C Olival made a simple two word statement seemingly to make a point, but did little to clarify himself. Merely mentioning Area 51 is the oft-cry of alien conspirators as the haven of government cover-ups. Being that C Olival saw fit to not provide any information for his claim, I merely finished his sentence for him. |

Area 51 Oh the government is definitely covering something up there. No doubt in my mind. They, to this day, still deny it even exists. Yet there it is...clear as day. In the middle of no where. Is it aliens or alien technology? Probably not, but will we ever know? Maybe..but definitely not in my lifetime. I've only seen them deny that it is hiding alien technology. Are they covering up something because they are hiding work on a project? Possibly. Its kinda hard to keep information out of the hands of your enemies if every citizen knows about it. |

We all know there's a government base there, as Jason said, it's right there, plain as day. So while the government line might be "it doesn't officially exist", they do not deny that it is a government facility. |

LOL! I think we may be getting into the realm of splitting hairs here :-) Not trying to. I'm just trying to point out that the existence is irrefutable. So what if they deny what goes on there. I deny what goes on in my own house because it's none of any elses' business. |

LOL! I think we may be getting into the realm of splitting hairs here :-) In terms of the American people it is "our" business what goes on there. We paid for that facility to be built and we pay for it to operate until this day. I may not want to know everything that is going on there, but for them to deny the existence of such a place makes the population look stupid. LOL! I think we may be getting into the realm of splitting hairs here :-) It might be "ours", but we don't need to know everything. It isn't much of a secret if everyone knows it. Any citizen can be compromised or a turncoat and give these secrets away to our enemies. I'm pretty sure they only deny what goes on there, not that it actually exists. |

LOL! I think we may be getting into the realm of splitting hairs here :-) This coming from someone who insists we know everything or a good portion of it. Cannot have your cake and eat it too. [quoteThis coming from someone who insists we know everything or a good portion of it. Cannot have your cake and eat it too.[/quote] Please point out where I have insisted we know everything or even a good portion of it. By the way, I've always hated that saying "You can't have your cake and eat it too", what good is a cake you can't eat? I prefer "You can't drink your beer and whistle too". |
