I have to make choices on where else the money goes to Well I got the card, for $265.90 delivered SSI is needs based and is inadequate as it supplements nothing here So, basically, you are getting a Free Ride. For many, many more years to come. Heck, what you explained is worse than the example in my post. At least that person contributed some moola before it became a Free Ride. And you want double the amount-to double the current amount or $1,348.00 a month-wow. Then you could get that 6 GTX295 Super Cruncher up and running in a hurry! Wow. No wonder no one wants to do the math. Do The Occupiers know of This Largesse? Dull. |

Sorry I cannot comprehend spending $ on electronics and having to skimp on the basics of life. Then having to get a loan to cover necessities specifically because of this choice. I see your situation Vic but it just doesn't make sense to me. When I was out of work years ago and on SSD, I kept a coffee can at home and put a little in daily. Noone ever knew about it and I had a little emergency fund or the $ to quietly spend on a little luxury. Saying you can't do this (as you have) is not true at all. |

If I didn't cut back I'd get no where and the only places I can cut anymore are in food, car wash, haircut and gas. The landlines out here are crap for voice now days as Verizon doesn't replace or service them anymore, otherwise I'd still have one. I'm down to eating margarine and strawberry preserve sandwiches for lunch and dinner, eggs and sausage or 3 pancakes with lite syrup for breakfast and that's still about $100 a month. I could also replace the coffee maker, get a blanket, a grill for the cooler here as the park won't, foam weatherstripping, sheets and the list goes on a bit and that's for December. I'm not out to deceive anyone Blurf, living isn't cheap and It's a legal program, If I could work I would, and that's all that I have to say, It's almost like Your saying that If I can't work that I should die or go live in a graveyard, I say that as My living relatives either don't have any room(My brothers 3 grown kids) or I'm a stranger to My sister in law who said I'm only welcome when Her kids are there as She won't have a stranger under Her roof, My Cat would be welcome, But I'm not, so much for family, My brother is in His grave and I have no where to go, If You think I'm lying, then kindly piss off and don;t talk to Me ever again. @ DNV: I'm physically and mentally unable to work, Private industry and Government said so, So what choice do I have? Do You think I should just Die?? Charity for the disabled is a failed concept that was tried in the 19th Century when people got paid in pennys or company chits per day, It didn't work then. It's not like I'm a Thief or a parasite or a rat to be exterminated, I'm Human and the USA is a signatory to the Human Rights Convention a dually ratified and signed treaty that has the effect of US Law. I'm barely able to do short bursts around here and being 51, with My skills and problems as they are, I was told they can get a 21 Year old to do the work and so I'm not even worth training by them. The disabled have a higher unemployment rate than anybody, otherwise talk to My spellchecker. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |
