Lets see It's Labor day and I'm closer to starting on saving up some money in October, I did recently find a way to save a further $12 off of the bread I've been buying, If one is in Southern California at Stater Brothers they have a brand and type of bread known as ValueTime Wheat Bread(70 calories a slice) for $0.99 a loaf.

In April I'm hoping I can get a 6th GTX295 similar to the one below to replace one "no name card" that quit on Me. Then I'm going to start saving again for a bit.

ebay, easy to bypass...

Today I won a Koolance VID NX295 GeForce GTX 295 Water Block DUAL PCB(260845945756) that according to the pics is still sealed in the bag and is NEW, It's a steal.

For $61.00 + 15.00 Priority($76.00 total), In case anyone wants to water cool a dual pcb GTX295, Performance PCs has some made by Danger Den that are made of copper, they cost $189.95 before shipping and any Florida sales tax... Get them while Ya can as their not being made anymore I think.

Sure their not single slotable, but once water cooled they should crunch just fine.

Why am I getting one of these You ask? Simple the supply of GTX295 cards is not exactly unlimited and If I have to, I could use a dual pcb card as the 6th(bottom) GTX295 card in the water cooled PC that I'm slowly building and moreover this block shouldn't interfere with the other Koolance or Bitspower blocks that I already have.

I've been thinking of what psus to get for the new PC and to power 6 GTX295 cards, So far I'm torn between three psus and they are:

1. Corsair Professional Series Gold 1200-Watt 80 Plus Gold Certified High-Performance Power Supply - CMPSU-1200AX

w/100.4A on a Single 12v rail.

$279.99ea w/shipping. $559.98 for 2.

or the:

2. Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold (SPG) 1200 Watt Modular Power Supply

w/98.0A on a Single 12v rail.

$239.57ea w/shipping. $479.14 for 2.

or the:

3. Thermaltake Toughpower 1350W 80PLUS Silver Certified Continuous Power SLI-ready CrossFireX Certified AMD GAME Ready Modular Power Supply TP-1350M

w/120.0A on a two 12v rails.

$319.97ea w/shipping. $639.94 for 2.

I'm leaning towards the 1350w for the moment as the review here is interesting, so far.

Ok I'll be getting the Corsair 1200, the 1350w psu is good, but from what I've read is supplied only with a 16ga power cord and the Cooler Master 1200 is only setup for 2 video cards, not 3 like on the other two, so the Corsair It is. But 1st another GTX295 next month in October.

I ordered Tea and Cat Food ordered on the 3rd, shipping estimate on the 12th after I emailed an inquiry into the delay, It seems the canned cat food is the hold up as sometime after I ordered It, It went and became back ordered, lovely. And I'm down to My final tea and My money is too low to go out and buy more. The coffee maker is going to be a bit busier than usual I think, the outside temps are predicted to be in the mid 90's possibly cause of stormy weather, possibly, hot coffee on warm days. sigh.

Also the Koolance dual pcb GTX295 water block is on It's way, It should be here in a week or so. I just hope ebay will have some GTX295 cards to sell around the 1st as there are only a few listed now.

Ok well the No name GTX295 bit the dust yesterday(70A @ 12v only proved the card was dying & is now dead, the fan and heatsinks work, but that's It, as it puts out no signal now, usb and video work on new pc just fine, 1 card is just dead) and an Asus P5K Deluxe motherboard doesn't respond to a usb keyboard anymore(after coming up from a lightning induced power failure), So I'm finally on the New PC that will eventually be an HTPC(I'd switched the psu off before the power failure, whew). So now I need another GTX295 and I have to clean the two remaining air cooled GTX295 cards, at least the 3 converted cards don't need this anymore. :)

I have to buy a PWM-Y Cable Adapter as one of My fans has 4 pins and the Y adapter that came with the Corsair H70 is just a 3 pin Y adapter and one of the fans is a bit too noisy for Me still, cpu temp? 35-40C @ 2.81GHz... :D

The BFG GTX295(both cards here are single PCB cards) is cleaned out now(I'd referred to It as an MSI somewhere I think, oopsie!), It had dust and cat hair and some of My hair I think, But sometime later I'll swap It and the EVGA out and clean the EVGA GTX295 out as It's doing 82-90C when crunching S@H, a bit too warm for Me, at idle Its at 58C though and then I need to take the old Enermax 1050w psu out of the old case and clean It up too for a possible swap with the Corsair 850w psu w/the 70A 12v rail, I wish It could run 3 GTX295 cards with the 1050w psu, as I know the 1050w will run two with ease.

I just ordered new case for my main machine, having 2 GPU's crunching with only 2 fans is not good. The new one will have a total of 5 120mm fans.

I just ordered new case for my main machine, having 2 GPU's crunching with only 2 fans is not good. The new one will have a total of 5 120mm fans.

I just moved everything over and then found out, that My sound was in HD audio, I had to install the chipset drivers and then the audio all over again to get good ol'ac97 sound again. But outside of that and maybe having trouble with the usb keyboard on a reboot to get into the bios, It works ok, even at 2.65GHz(i5 750), I could have changed the fan power leads to 2 fans and exchanged the video card to one that I'd cleaned, but all all I could think of was getting the pc to go into the bios and of course to boot, It's an 850w Corsair 850TX psu. But this is only temporary as I'm slowly putting together a 1st class H2O rig, It'll be real cool man. ;)

1st thing, a GTX295 cause of them being a bit hard to come by, then back to saving for a few months until I have about $750-1000 saved up, as I found a place I could live with in nearby Barstow that doesn't look like much outside(moving would cost $450 to Barstow, more for elsewhere as everywhere else is farther away), but inside It has a kitchen to die for, It has solid counters(no laminate), wood cabinets, grey sink and all black appliances(dishwasher, range and refrig) and @ $55,000 It's priced right too. Now for the ag bill to pass and become law by Jan or Feb of 2012...

The bill has USDA section 502 Direct Mortgage program funding in It and yep I need it and I have qualified in the past for It too. I just need utility deposit and moving money.

Ok I now have two cleaned up GTX295 cards in the new PC, I moved two fan hookups on the motherboard and after cleaning and installing the Enermax Revolution85+ 1050w psu of dust as best as I could get It, the gpus are at 81C, 84C and 87C(I'm testing S@H at the moment on both cards), one or both cards are making noises of course, I thought I had the 2 cards adjusted for no noise making, being in a desktop/htpc case they may require some tinkering still for I found if the bracket screws were loose they made almost no noise, go figure. Now the temp is at 83C to 88C, I've seen up to 90C, sigh.

Grace about knocked Me offline, How? She walked on the PC Keyboard here, I had to reboot the new pc and I had to do a repair cause of Her to Windows as the PC wouldn't boot for nearly an hour, It would start to go into windows at the 4 colors and then nothing but 4 pretty colors...

Ok I now know about what I need to cool 6 GTX295 cards, an i7 860 cpu, ram and a EVGA Classified 200 motherboard off with, Here's a list of what I think I'll need:

1-120x360x60 Coolgate Rad(I have one now)
3-120x480x60 Coolgate Rads
3-Phobya Radiator Stands - Black - Quad 4x120mm Products Model: PH-38147
1-Xigmatek Elysium-Window Black Full Tower ATX Case
1-Bitspower Galaxy Freezer DIMM4 RAM Liquid Cooling Block - Ice Red [BP-WBDM4AC-IRD](for Corsair ram only, like below)
2-CORSAIR XMS3 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory CMP8GX3M2A1600C8
2-Enermax GALAXY EVO EGX1250EWT ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supplies(their less then the cost of 2-AX1200 psus)
22-Koolance Fans, 120x120x25mm, 108CFM(out of 30 as I have 8 of 12 now for this PC)

I have the 1/2" hoses, pump, reservoir and clamps already. Quite a task, but after I get a final 295(to replace a dead one) and I have saved up $800, then I can devote Myself to the hardware at hand...

Right now I'm listening to the Moody Blues, specifically to what's entitled thusly:

Rare version of Slide Zone by the Moody Blues, in concert like you have never heard it before!

Yes I've been a fan of this British group since the late 70's.

Oh and the new PC is doing very well, not bad for a temporary step between It and the ultimate S@H water cooled pc.

It'll be 9 or 10 days before I can bid on a 295 card to replace the no name 295 that died on Me.

Make that 12 total days for the 295 card, 4 more days and I can drink some tea then, instead of just coffee. I like coffee, just not real hot coffee as It clogs My sinuses and then when everything cools off, I start coughing.

I got the rent bill in today and It was lower than last month, which was $404.57, this month It's $402.73, for a savings of $1.84, next month I'll get to see what the new pc has done to the electric usage that is a part of the rent bill, It was $54.09 for 589.0KW of Electricity this month.

I contacted the bank and found out the New checks that I paid $18.95(on 9/13/2011) had been sent to My street address, problem is No one in Yermo CA receives mail at anything other than a PO Box, So they ordered new checks and are sending them to the PO Box address I use and the Bank has faxed a voided check to GMAC insurance, so that My car will remain insured, that made GMAC happy.

And It seems I've been congested for months, I'm still coughing and It's hard to breathe sometimes, I took some pills for that last night and I've been blowing My nose with some paper towels, the nose isn't running as much and yes I'll be buying 2 boxes of generic puffs from Stater Bros Market in Barstow on the 30th when I go shopping.

I won another Koolance block for a dual pcb GTX295 card($55.20 delivered) and I won a BFG dual pcb GTX295 card($174.99 delivered) on ebay, on the 30th as per arrangement with the sellers I'll be paying for both items, soon I'll be having 3-GTX295 cards in one case.

I'll eventually be looking for the following at some point in the future:

1-GTX460 water block[Koolance(135.37) or EK(100.00)]XMAS for this one, maybe.
1-EK P7P55D Pro block(92.15)
1-GTX295 single pcb Card
1-GTX295 dual pcb Card

Ok the BFG GTX295 card and the Koolance Vid-NX295 water block have been paid for, the block is at least on It's way according to the USPS tracking info, both are of the dual pcb type of course. So now I need to get a water block for the EVGA GTX460 (1373 type) and of course there's one on ebay now by Koolance, drat. As I'm out of money for this month again, plus two more GTX295 cards, One of each of the two types of GTX295 cards of course, then the block and card acquisition will be, I hope, over with.

I also changed out the 3 Delta 3400rpm 113cfm fans that were in the case of the pc that I'm using now and replaced them with 3 quieter Koolance 2500rpm 108cfm fans, being the koolance are running at full speed they cool a bit better than the throttled Delta fans which were being held by the Bios to about 2488rpm, both fan types are 120x120x25mm in size, I'm not buying any Deltas ever again, too loud for Me at full power.

I also cleaned off the old P5K Deluxe motherboard, QX6700 cpu(Unlocked) and 4GB Patriot DDR2 ram a bit as I'm interested in selling It off, As seen below, I think I have an original manual and yep the bios setting need to be reset, beyond being old, it does work. I'm hoping to get $100 out of it before shipping.

No It's not on ebay, yet.
