Lets see, Well I'm getting closer to replacing this PC, The 900w OCZ psu is mostly installed, As I ran into a snag, The 8pin power cable doesn't reach the 8pin motherboard socket, So If I can on the 29th I'm ordering an 8" extension cable, Which should be long enough.

Ok here We are in a new thread.

I'm having a few problems, an old MS keyboard or a usb adapter died, fixed that, Before this I needed to clean the PC out, lots of dust and hair, of course now I have 3 gpus to crunch with, seems to be a driver problem, maybe, 2 show the monitor in win7, riva tuner 2.24c sees 4 gpus, but only 3 show up, tried cc_config, still 3, downloading 270.61 now, uninstalled video drivers and getting used to Superman Keyboard w/silicone dust cover, It's different alright.

Well It turns out It was a hardware problem in a GTX295, A black label 295, So It now only has 1 gpu, drat and double drat(wacky races quote). So after cleaning an MSI GTX295 of the dust/hair and breaking a part of the cover(fragile clips), I now have 4 gpus once again, Yea!!

Oh and 270.61 is installed now on all 4 and Boinc sees them all, Now I need some light on the keyboard, The silicone keyboard skin just lays on the keyboard, But It isn't easy to see through without some light, But at least It should keep My new keyboard dust FREE.

Well I'm almost all ready to light up the replacement PC and see If It works, All I lack is an extension cable, but on the 29th I'll order one.

Right now I'm almost all out of strawberry preserves and I have a slice of turkey sandwich meat left, Plenty of peanut butter for sandwiches, But I don't have anything to go with It outside of eggs & bread, Yeah I looked It up, Someone made a toasted, egg and peanut butter sandwich, go figure. Sorry buying any food right now is not possible, As I only have $1.58 in the bank, So I wait for the 29th, No choice. Besides I'll pull a proverbial rabbit out of a hat so to speak. I use eggs for breakfast.

Doing some nominal posting here, Friday I'm going to be one busy bee, Getting 5 gallons of gas for the car, washing the car, buying some dry cat food at one of the local vets offices(Science Diet indoor, It's $18.25 on Amazon with shipping for a small bag), buying food and supplies at 2 markets(Vons and then Stater Brothers), Then going home, Grace never likes It, But what can I say?

I got everything I set out to do done, Then disaster struck, My rear bathroom's door knob broke, Carlos is coming over in the morning supposedly to fix the door and replace the knob as I was turning the knob to open the door and It snapped, I'm lucky I'm not in there, That and I didn't put away My kitty litter or the toilet paper, As half of My supply of TP and a good toilet is in there.

It doesn't hurt(It does really) that I need to go see a Doctor about My right Knee as every step is almost enough, I almost feel like falling over from the pain.

Go see a doc, don't wait. Knees can be repaired easier if the damage is caught early.

Ok the Royal wedding was on TV locally, a lot, I get the BBC here via KCET TV and So My sleeping in was ok as I didn't miss anything. I think Kates Dress was better than Dianas, But that's just My opinion. 1 million people and the wedding went off without a hitch, Gad zooks that's amazing.

Carlos came over and had to remove the knob and then break the broken bolt as the spring was holding the door closed, The cylinder the metal bolt was in was made of plastic and I've had them break on Me before, This one was as old as the door that It was in and He's going to return soon and snake the other toilet as It only flushes properly when there's water in the bowl, He thinks the pipe has an old clog.

Oh and sometime after Carlos fixed the door, I adjusted the latch itself so that It would not interfere with the wall where the striker plate is supposed to be at, All It took was a hammer and a Phillips screwdriver to do the adjusting with, Now the knob is a bit off center, But It works perfectly now.

Well I woke up this morning in the usual way(claw & tug, meow) and My right side below My ribcage is a bit sore, Since I have the heat off It's most likely cause of that. And It(stiffness) seems to be going away as I type.

Since I can't do the deleting on ebay.com as some on ebay have found out, I went to ebay.ca where I've deleted an old auction after leaving feedback on ebay.ca which shows up here and since that website uses the same login as here, ebay.ca is not just for Canadians, Both ebay.com and ebay.ca are based in the USA, and Glenda likes the New ebay. In case some here are wondering ebay has decided to change their Myebay pages and currently on ebay.com one can not erase the items one has sold or bought or won, ebay has changed stuff there and wants users to have an undeletable history of what has been won or sold, Why? Sales Tax/Use Tax as States are wanting their taxes and are wanting an evidence trail to prove It, Can You say Tax Evasion? It wouldn't be much of a trail If It could erased and today I erased 1/3rd of what ebay said was not erasable, as the controls to do so are locked and hidden on ebay.com, but are not locked or hidden on ebay.ca or ebay.au or ebay.uk or most likely on any ebay website beyond ebay.com, All ebays share a common database that's based in the USA, Otherwise You couldn't login to ebay.ca with the ebay.com password and user name, Which I have done, More than once, I've also in the past logged into ebay.uk as well.

I was contacted by Ticket to Work today in a recorded message, From what I was told when I called a number that I found online It's voluntary and It could be used to train Me to drive a semi-truck, Of course I don't have the strength to load and unload one, And the truck might need to be an automatic which does exist today, As I don't know well My ankle and leg joints would react to too much activity, I contacted a place in Fontana CA that's known as:

Roadmaster Drivers School

By a short form that I had filled out online, Am I scared? Yes, I'm feeling nervous and I think I know how & why My Mom drank when She wasn't working, Which they call a functional alcoholic, Which became a full blown alcoholic when She retired, Dad was right, She needed help, I wish that I could talk to Him now, sigh. No I have no interest in drinking, I'd seen enough of that to last for the rest of My life. 50 yrs old going on 51 soon, today has been quite a day, they just called I'd have to go their Riverside office I was told to see If I even qualified, I'm going to call Her back around the 1st as It's a bit of a drive and I don't have any extra cash for gas currently. There I have Her work number is in the phone. She did say I could earn $40,000 to $50,000 a year, which is more than what I'd made in any 5 year period. Problem is I'd have to find a job that would be a short haul type, Like a powder train like the in the picture below that I grabbed off of Google. These trucks are easy to unload as I think they just have a lever to open the bottom of the trailer up with, As to loading I'm not sure how thats done on this type, I wished I'd asked My brother in time, But that wasn't meant to be. So I wait.

The ticket to work program would put up the money for training, At least after the company did some financing, I do know something about driving one, My brother drove one and My Nephew does and the Nephew took Me along on a trip, Yes they do help with job placement I'm told.

Vic, my brother held a California Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for many years, until he hurt his back one time too many driving logging trucks that had not been properly maintained.

From what he told me about the annual physicals he had to take, with your back and leg problems, you may not be able to pass the physical. You should talk to your doctor about that.

The back problems are mainly cause My back is pulled forward cause of the way My weight is distributed around My body, If I sit down and relax for a bit I can get up again with no pain after a bit, which could be 15-30 minutes, Boehner still wants to cut in 3 places, So I feel I must see If I can get this hulk moving. But I'll see around the 1st, As right now It's not possible.

Victor, they do have automatic transmissions out there. Can you drive a standard? Believe it or not but they teach that also.
I think you would be better off trying to get into building and upgrading computers. I was a 18 wheeler man for a while, Its damn hard work and long hours.

The closest to a standard would be either a 5 or 6 speed motorcycle transmission and it has been at least 10 years since I rode one, But in a car? No, Just an automatic there, Dad only paid for what was mostly available at the time, as a result I have a spotless record at least.

Building a PC, It takes Me too long to do so, Its a hobby only and driving comes easier to Me, As I have to stand to build a PC and I sweat just removing screws and If the work takes too long, then My back becomes painful forcing Me to stop and sit down. I have one PC(the DVR PC) here that needs a fan replaced cause I think the corsair fan won't do a good enough job on the side exhaust as the rear exhaust fan location is being used by a Corsair H70 cpu cooler which blows cool air into the radiator and then warmed up air into the case, and so the corsair fan needs to be replaced with a delta fan that I have on My desk, I just have to lift up a magnetic seal which has some adhesive the maker put on them for a 140mm air filter and expose two screws and then do the replacement, kinda involved. And that's why I'd rather not as It's a royal pain for Me to do computer work, Besides any teenager could do that.

I dont want to bust your bubble but trucking isnt for you either then. The 5th wheel on a truck isnt allways at the same height as the trailer. so guess what you have to either lower the landing gear or raise it. It done by hand. A fork truck does not allways load your truck. you do when they dont. Trust me, styrofoam plates are one thing, 80,000 pounds of dish detergent is another.

You might luck out and get a local job. But it dosent usally start that way. When I drove My job was to get the trailers for the long haul guys and set them up to come in and then drop the one they had and grab another one and take off. After my 8 hours of doing that, I had a run to Scranton PA. or once in a while Baltimore MD. Scranton was easy, was only 6 hours round trip. baltimore was 12. So my normal day was 16 hours. I was glad i got a factory job, my hours were cut in half and I made twice the pay.
