I need some assistance...the story goes alittle like this...joined seti 1999 for a number of years then went AWOL for about 5 years then on and off between times, because I had changed email accounts and passwords. Recently I remembered my former email address and pass however to keep things recent I updated my email address profile and password. I so happy about getting back online with seti...that was short lived however. My PC was in need of a clean up and clean out so I did a clean install all perfect until I tried to log on to seti. Now I must have mispelt the updated email address because it cant find on the system nor can it find my old email address. Ive created a new profile but I would really really like to know how to recover my former account. Any advise would be appreciated. cheers

Now I must have mispelt the updated email address ... Never type - use Copy/Paste And (AFAIK) CasE MaTTers, e.g. these are considered different: BOSS@XYZ.COM Boss@xyz.com boss@xyz.com If you don't know what string you used for the e-mail the account can't be recovered. But some of your numerous browsers may have the login details. ____________ - ALF - "Find out what you don't do well ..... then don't do it!" :)

If you have a computer currently running under that account, you can go to the account_setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu.xml file. In that file, you will find an <authenticator>. You can use that as an alternative login.
