I haven't run into this situation before. Previously as soon as a task completed the next task started automatically. This morning I looked at my PC and there were 9 tasks queued up but none of them were running. My preferences are set to use all four cores all the time, the GPU after 3 minutes of inactivity, and processor usage less than 0 %. I can't figure out a reason why work was suspended.

So the question is: How do I kick start BOINC to get the ball rolling again.

Are those nine tasks all "Ready to start" or "Waiting to run"?

Perhaps they are all "Ready to report" and your client only wasn't able to download new tasks because a SETI server got stuck.
