GMail is Google's Web based E-mail system. http://www.gmail.com

Currently still in beta and to join you need to be "invited" by a current user. The accounts offer 1 Gig of e-mail storage.

I pay for 100MB webspace, 20 unlimted mail accounts (APS, ASP.NET, PHP, MySQL, POP3, IMAP, WAP ...) $3,50 per month. I have linked it to my domain which costs $20 per year. It is not like for free??? ;o)))

According to the LHC site, BOINC has been so incredibly successful that the powers-that-be have decided to invest in proper infrastructure.

That means brand-new servers with enough power to support more users, new, more complex applications, etc.

As part of the announcement, they said they'd be shutting down sometime this month, back sometime after the first of the year....
