Just wondering if the average income for Tea Party supporters is above the National average? Seems they are really for hurting the poor and less fortunate. I also know we are all SUPPOSED to be created the same but that is a BIG lie. Anyone that believes all have the same chances and opportunities really have their heads in the sand. I have helped disabled people and No Matter how bad they wish they were equal they no they are not and need extra help. Too many kids had parents that drank and did drugs, most will never reach their full potential, their brains ruined in the belly, they need extra help. I have customers come in my shop that I wonder how they even make it thru the day as the IQ must be really low....They probably need a bit of help also. There are just so many different situations out there, for a Political Party to put on blinders like this is just wrong.
The funniest part of this whole show is that Republicans caused this mess with another Idiot of theirs George Bush.

Hi, amps.
Er, I mean, hello, hiamps.

I've seen some of your other posts that seem to suggest you're not a Democrat, or generally left-leaning, either. Correct?

Seriously, I think the average socioeconomic level of a Tea Party supporter is probably not what you should look at. It probably varies a lot. Lower class through middle or upper part of middle class.

It's the socioeconomic level of the apparent forces behind it, the driving forces, that might be better to consider.

I can agree with that. Tea partiers seem to be from most income levels. Though I would think that most are middle to upper middle income level. This is a very similar movement to the H Ross perot movement. The Big difference is the Perot people didn't seem to have a suicide pact involved as part of their campaign motto.

I also see the tea party has a load of ideas with very little substance.

"Cut the Federal budget, but not the stuff I use" is the typical platform that most agree on. Its frightening that people are so energized against something without really knowing what they are actually energized against.

Fortunately for us we now know. They want medicare/medicaid/ social security to go away. Sadly these are the very same things that most of the retirees that are Tea party members rely on for income and a medical safety net. Seems a rude aawakening for those supporters.

Tolerance is something that is lacking worldwide.

How does that saying go, doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result is insanity. Just consider electing politicians to political office.

We need none of the above on every ballot. When a politician loses to none of the above their name never can appear on a ballot again. Give them a reason to stop with the mud.

We need to put some teeth into budget deadlines. If it isn't passed on time the legislators don't get a dollar for office staff or their own salaries for that budget year. Give them a reason to cooperate.

Disagree: we need to reconsider that phrases. It is a sign of neurosis, not insanity. Insanity is more severe.

Agree. Why do we have term limits on a president but not on congressional representatives (both houses)?

lets not stop there. I's say give A supreme Court Justice the boot every 2 years. The longest serving goes first. THat way were aren't forced to have a clarence thomas that asks nothing in court. This leads many to presume that he's already made his decision. or some of the other old farts that hang around into their late 70's. Nobody gets more than 18 years on the Court. The Court remains fresh and the Congress gets to do its job routinely.

Lets retire all Politicians at 65 and force all staff to sign contracts that they are not to take jobs for people they investigate, approve food additives, drugs, or any other private company that has sought approval through their office under penalty of prison time. We seem to have so many that get into the FDA and bail out once a specific drug or additive is approved only to go to work for those companies immediately after they leave the FDA. This is wrong and should never happen again. No more aspartame approval and big pay raise for the FDA guy that got it approved. No more relaxing Coal mining regulations and then the payout after they leave office working for the Coal industry

Give our Gov't back, NOW

Hi Skildude:

About 3.5 years ago I posted the following:

So far as I can tell, the human race consists of two subspecies. Homo Moronicus and Homo Smarticus.

Homo Moronicus does and believes everything they are told without thinking. Believes in the hereafter and votes for morons like Bush.

Homo Smarticus doesn't do and believe everything they are told without seriously thinking things through for themselves. Believes in evolution and not some fairy tale nor do they vote for morons.

There seems to be an 80: 20 split in favor of Homo Moronicus from watching election results.

Today, I think the split is more like 90:10 in favor of Homo Moronius. This explains nicely how groups like the Tea Party come into being, that cutting taxes for the rich and corporations, bailing out banksters and sending good paying jobs overseas is good for the people and will ultimately result in increasing your standard of living.

If anyone believes all the BS feed to the masses by the gansters on Wall Street and their patsies the politicians then you firmly belong in the Homo Moronicus group.

Thank GOD for The Gangsters in Wall Street.

Any of you ever have a 10 Bagger? You know, a stock that goes up 10 times in short span or longer span.

Or, how about a 2 Bagger? Or just 40%?

Sure beats those Bank Savings Rates; CD rates; Bond rates, etc.

Thank you Wall Street for making Us(those who Play the Game) lots of That Gangster Dough.

And you can be poor or Midlin' Class to Play. Doesn't take much. Just make the Right Decisions. You know, Do it Like The Gangsters Do.

All Legal and Quite Profitable.

Doubt you believe in God. (Dawkins is more like it.)
But if you do, you know God wants to save the Gangstas, not celebrate their ways.
But, he might chill wit dem in da Club, in da Club.
Yet your post is off-topic. :)
