Was just checking to see what the lastest drivers are for my cards, on one machince I have a dual GTS250's, and the Nvidia site is suggesting I go back to an older version. Really? Anyone have a similar situation?

What driver do you want to use ?
Stock app or optimised app ?

Tip: disable SLI and try 266.58, this is the driver of choice, dont use 270.x there are issues:

Yep, I've been watching the forums. While that whole situation was happening, nvidia updated their drivers about 3-4 times within a week, but its all settling down now, I have to downgrade some drivers still, but I'll get to that next week. I was just shocked that I upgraded them and then checked two days later and it wanted me downgrade in such a short time frame.

Yep, I never run in SLI, I learned that way back, it's not stable for crunching, nice for gaming, but otherwise always disabled. Mainly, I think most of my problem is that I am running lunatics optimised apps, and the new drivers are messing it up. I love lunatics, those guys put together some seriously nice production for this project, from old or new computers! Have a good night everyone.

Lol, now that would make me mad, haha. Hey I have new shiny GTX590 lets see what it can do? If I started to see smoke after a little bit, after paying what they are asking, I would be hot, to put it nicely!

Don't play around with overclocking on this card!
You can find some videos on YouTube with smoking gtx590... Thats why i dicidet to buy 3 gtx580 instead of 2 gtx590 and im still fighting whith the drivers. First i was lucky to see NVidia updating the drivers very quickly. But they fix some problems and unfortunatly you get some new. This downclocking problem with the new driver and the lunatics app is crazy. I don't know if you can use the 266.58 driver with the gtx590. The 270.x is dealing with cuda 4.0 causing your gfx to clock down do medium power state and triple the crunching time. May be you can make some experiance and keep me informed what's going on. Hopefully the guys from lunatics will get the new opt app working with cuda 4.0.
