After I got my new GTS 450 we ran into a string of outages. I had my cache set for four days but was running out in about two days. I bumped my cache up to six days and have managed to get through all the short outages we have had since but it looks like I might run out tomorrow if this outage lasts that long. I thought I was running out on the four day cache just because it hadn't caught up with the changes I had made on my computer but now I don't know what it is doing. It should have caught up and given me more than enough by now but..... Oh well, I've run dry before and it hasn't killed me yet. Guess I can play solitaire or something until the work flows again. :-) PROUD MEMBER OF Team Starfire World BOINC |

If I set every 10 days connected and 0 days additonal, always if shorties came down, BOINC gone in 'high priority mode' (no work request until calculated). You are now a forum mod? You want to start again to gibe me? |

Maybe if you set 10 + 10 in the prefs and let it run for a while with the appropriate logging set in cc_config, I can convince you that If it's like this, then the project should set a limit of 10 days. This would reduce unneeded scheduler server load/resources (work requests). - Best regards! - Sutaru Tsureku, team seti.international founder. - Optimize your PC for higher RAC. - SETI@home needs your help. - |
