One of my heroes as well, Chris. I liked Diamonds played by Tony Meehan and Jet. I also like their other releases -

Scarlet O'Hara

Applejack

Riders in the Sky

As well as when he played with The Shadows, in the like of See you in my drums and many others both with The Shadows and with Tony Meehan.

I have to say I very much liked instrumentals like Jet Harris & Tony Meehan as well as The Shadows. It was not Sheila's cuppa ...
It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues

Thanks for the links....
After looking about a bit, I am unsure who came first....the Shadows or the boys this side of the big water, the Ventures.
Both had very similar styles.
Always liked both of the bands, although I was only familiar with the Ventures as a kid.
