hi! Why are not all pending tasks in the pending-credit-list? The tasks with the ID 708281634, 708281623, 708150587, 708125455 are displayed in "all tasks for computer 5844822" and are still pending, but they are not in my pending-credit-list. Paul |

I only took time to look at the first one. Your wingmen will also have to finish and report those tasks as well. ;) Cheers. |

2 days ago my netbook finished 707341025 and its not in the pending-list. I just wonder... some of the WUs need just one second from sending to the server up to appearing in the pending-list, and others need more than two days. |

24 hours after the Wu is validated, the Wu is then purged from the Database, If only the validated WUs were gone, I wouldnt have any problem with that. But 707341025 (and the others) are not validated. |

24 hours after the Wu is validated, the Wu is then purged from the Database, Made link active, no 707341025 hasn't validated yet, your 1st Wingman Cuda card is producing false -9 overflows, so the task has now been sent to a 2nd wingman, just give him time, his deadline is 26 Apr 2011 | 11:28:29 UTC, if he doesn't return it, or error's it, that Wu will go to another wingman, Claggy |

24 hours after the Wu is validated, the Wu is then purged from the Database, Welcome to the boards. You'll find that there are a lot of subtlties about that overall system here, and things which work one day sometimes don't work another day. You have to be prepared to do a bit of digging to get an answer sometimes. First, if you're asking about a particular task or workunit, it really helps if you make it into a clickable link, as I've done above. (See Use BBCode tags to format your text for how to do that). That one's a workunit (WU), with two or more copies sent to different users. Yours looks OK (though it took an awful long time on your Atom), but you had the misfortune to have a wingmate with (it looks like) a faulty GPU card. But the WU is still there, still pending, and a copy has been sent out to another user for checking. What may have happened: the lists of tasks and workunits that you've been looking at are usually maintained on a 'replica' database - it makes things run more smoothly for the primary database. There have been problems with the replica this week - first it was switched off completely, so we got up-to-the-second list from the main database server. Then the replica was turned back on, but it was the best part of a day backlogged behind the master copy - it may not have reached your WU yet. Finally, the replica caught up to date, and everything is visible again. You can keep track of things like that be monitoring the server status page. SETI very, very rarely loses task or workunit data before it's validated. If something seems to be missing for a while, there's usually a benign explanation. |

There have been problems with the replica this week ok so I will stop clicking crazily on my pending-list and will check back in a few days :D though it took an awful long time on your Atom well... this thing doesnt have a cd-drive so I cant install an good OS now. It was my mobile-wireless-pc and backtrack 4 is running on it, which suits obviously not very well boinc I'm looking forward to install Dotsch_UX on the machine and maybe set up a grid with something like this http://www.intel.com/products/desktop/motherboards/D510MO/D510MO-overview.htm the problem is currently that the network-card of the EEE-PC is not running out of the box with Dotsch_UX so i need to include the dirvers into the initramfs but i dont know how to do that I opened a thread in the Dotsch_UX-forum but they are not very active there so we will see what happens :) http://dotsch.phpbb8.de/dotsch-f16/integrate-drivers-t84.html |

Actually guys on close inspection, I'm seeing the same :) page 'pending credit' linked from account page - 7 tasks. all tasks -> pending tasks shows 9 entries. the newest ones, reported three hours ago (and just now) haven't made the 'pending credit' list yet. (btw the pending credit page still shows credit claimed *giggle*) status page snapshot 15 min ago shows replica as 0 as of 0m - can't be due to the replica not up to date. Maybe pending credit runs from a script that doesn't run so often? It can be disabled after all. Carola ------- I'm multilingual - I can misunderstand people in several languages! |

Actually guys on close inspection, I'm seeing the same :) I think someone once said that it is generated whenever you go to that page. Hence the reason they disable it sometimes when the db needs all the grunt it can muster. With the new server they might not have to disable it any longer. It could also be that the task has been validated & the display of pendings on the machine view is old. Same here. Nothing new on the pending list since yesterday. But validated tasks disappear from the list. |

I did some looking at my pendings, which there are about 1100. It looks like the last time it was updated was March 8th just before things went down for weekly maintenance. SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours Join the [url=http://tinyurl.com/8y46zvu]BP6/VP6 User Group[ |

Likewise. The last item in my overall 'pending credit' list was returned at 8 Mar 2011 | 17:20:18 UTC, but the 'pending' filter on my main task list shows another 250 since then. Maybe 'pending' was left pointing to the wrong copy of the database when they switched the replica (Jocelyn) back on? |

Maybe 'pending' was left pointing to the wrong copy of the database when they switched the replica (Jocelyn) back on? That does seem quite plausible. The only thing that makes me think otherwise is that records are being deleted but not added. Could be a snafu in the table not allowing new entries. I'm not sure if MySQL allows for that sort of state on a table though. SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours Join the [url=http://tinyurl.com/8y46zvu]BP6/VP6 User Group[ |

Yup, old pendings are disappearing normally when validated by wingman, but no new pendings are added. I'm not wound up as tightly as you. I am going to give them until 2042 at least. Unless I change my mind & choose a further date later. SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours Join the [url=http://tinyurl.com/8y46zvu]BP6/VP6 User Group[ |
