Blurf, those are GREAT pictures!!! Thank you to you and Suz for taking/posting them.

Uli, our cats have "nibbling habits" too - my houseplants (may the vast majority of them rest in peace...)

Tinkerbell stopped nibbling about two month ago, when she figured out the plants were winning.

Ang and Eric, you got two...Well twice my issues.
Pluto will always be a planet to me.

We have Dieffenbachia in our front room, (The clones of the same plant we had over twenty two years ago.) now the Fryja cat likes to nibble, but these plants are very poisonous. We don't know when it happened, but the cat must have had a run in with the plant in the past as we have never seen her even get close to them. We have never noticed any damage to them or the cat either.

Grace likes to play with the Toilet paper, She wasted a good part of a roll recently, Needless to say Shes done this before and now the rolls are either behind a closed door or up where She can't get to.

Good pics of your Spaniels, Blurf.

We get attacked in a similar way by our Shih-Tzus. Fortunately, they are a bit smaller than your two.

I have heard that if you arrange the rolls that are in use so that the paper comes off the side nearer the wall that most cats have extreme difficulty actually getting anything off of the roll.

Is there actually anyplace in your house that you can reach that your cat can't jump on? I have watched a cat that I had as a child jump from the floor to a shelf 8 feet up. (That was the one that persisted in trying to catch humming birds).

Yeah 4, One's above the kitchen sink and one's in that small forward bathroom where I put the current roll of TP(the toilet there has to be snaked), the other rolls go under the sinks of the two bathrooms, a 3rd one is also above a bathroom sink and the 4th is the edge of the shower stall in the main bathroom which is too narrow, Grace wants to, but never has done more than stretch there.

Having the toilet paper the way You suggest is hard for Me to get at too, So I put It out of sight and reach in the small bathroom, I just close the door to the main bath of course.

In the kitchen I have the paper towel roll holder mounted under the sink, Behind a door, It works.

Tis true! Eva loves toilet paper, but if you hang the roll incorrectly she is thwarted.

I've also seen that setup in homes with small children, and for the same reason.

Here that doesn't work, As I'd tried that once, Grace merely unrolled part of a roll of TP from the countertop.

I took this picture of a squirrel on a recent outing.

His feeling was quite obviously "Are you gone yet?"

Hello little squirrel! Come to my house. I have birdseed with peanuts in it just for you. There are also some tasty pine cones in our yard, should you be so inclined.

Dogs love French Fries, My Brother and I took care of My Nephews Dog and My Brothers Dog, Both loved French Fries, Sadly My Brothers Dog only outlived Her Master by a few months.

This somehow reminds me of an incident at Uni...

One of the professors, who wasn't liked very much, always brought his dog (labradorish) with him. One day, with some celebration going on in the coffee corner there was cream for the cake. The dog of course came along to see if he could get some food. one of the group: 'Don't give the dog any cream, they get vomiting and diearrea from it!' 'the professor has got leather seats in his car...' 'ok dog, you can have LOTS of cream'

if you make too many enemies it's very hard to figure out who did the deed...

One of our Organic Chemistry lecturers was like Carola's Professor.

We punished him by sticking a kipper in his radiator, which had the fresh air intake close. It was winter at the time and the kipper was rapidly cooked, then broke up and deteriorated quickly. It took the lecturer months to kill the smell of mouldy fish.

Once upon a time someone discovered the flat space on top the power supply heat shield of an old Data Products band printer would accommodate 3 whole sardines nicely. Right around the 17th page of month-end reports things got interesting.

It is cute, but I am not certain it would appreciate the trip. It is within bow shot distance of the coast that you don't live on.
