Now that fifty four planets have been discovered by Kepler in the Goldilocks zone does SETI@home plan to target them for signals? Does SETI@home plan to target them for the kinds of space noise our planet has generated? |

Now that fifty four planets have been discovered by Kepler in the Goldilocks zone does SETI@home plan to target them for signals? No targeting. Does SETI@home plan to target them for the kinds of space noise our planet has generated? No targeting. Do you even know if the Kepler field is viewable with the Arecibo Radio telescope? |

See Science Meeting, Moving forward on the Kepler Observations! for the latest news on the targeted observations which will use the Green Bank telescope. Joe |

It would be important to know what is being done with promising work units in the first place. Are they being revisited? I see some work units that have vlar in front of them. Does that data come from the Very Large Array in New Mexico. If so then there can be some stearable re visits to select portions of the Northern Sky. There probably are or soon will be orbiting Radio telescopes that are also stearable. |

It would be important to know what is being done with promising work units in the first place. Are they being revisited? AFAIK vlar means very low angle range. Tullio |

defined. VLAR- Very Low Angle Range. The radio telescope is being focused on one particular poing in the sky and shows very little movement. VHAR- Very High Angle Range. the radio telescope is being moved from one location to another showing fairly high movement In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Does SETI go back and recheck signals |

Does SETI go back and recheck signals That’s certainly part of the plan; the points of origin of persistent signals identified by the NTPCkr program (still under development AFAICT) will be slated for re-observation. |

The Paul Allen Array, will it be more powerful that Arecibo? |

Amazing tha after 33 years, Voyager 1 still has intruments that work, it it seems that Voyager 1 uses Alpha Centauri as the guiding star, is this probe's final destination the Alpha Centauri system? |

its pretty much up to the interstellar wind. Once the probe leaves Sols influence anything could happen In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |
