My University's football team is doing lousy. I hope the second half goes better.

I used to look forward to weekends; but this weekend will be a window-washing festival. At least it won't need to be done for another six months.

Getting ready for Thanksgiving can be stressful, but that's only the start. For those of us that are trying to keep our weight under control, this run of holidays is even more challenging.

I just got back from a trip to Vegas. Both the Woman's Volleyball Team and I came home winners.

I was happy to see more than four feet of snow in Lake Tahoe a week ago, then over the next week I was concerned that it seems to be melting way too fast. The skier's mantra is, "Think snow!", but this year we should also be hoping for cooler weather.

I agree. Would be nice to have more snow here, but we got nothing coming. Its frustrating. Although they do say we have enough water to get us through the summer, but thats besides the point. I'd like to see a lot more water than what we need. LOL

35 days without a post here. Figured I'd bring it back before it auto-locked. Weather still isn't that great here. Got some snow, we'll see how the snow pack turns out. But we have plenty of water in the different lakes around the region, so we should be ok through the summer.

I'm fine, just a bit busy. I also got back recently from Reno, where the weather was fine, and Tahoe where the snow was good (finally). Also, the all-you-can-eat lobster buffet was better this year.

Glad you had a good time! The last I saw was the snowpack was only 50% give or take for the year, which is a lot less than last year, but it will hold us just fine, since almost all the area lakes that feed into the Truckee River are either at or above their natural rim. So we'll be ok for the summer, but next winter we need a good dumping of snow to keep us that way. LOL

Message 1214157 - Posted: 5 Apr 2012, 5:36:47 UTC

So, I was watching this internet video someone sent me about a smartphone app that had bugs crawling on the screen and the phone's owner was showing it to a big toad. The funny part is that the toad keeps trying to catch the bugs on the smartphone then it misses and chomps on the phone owner's thumb.

Usually I would dismiss these things as fake because animals shouldn't be fooled by a two dimensional image on a screen, but as it happened, I had my puppy on my lap and soon my little dog was growling and barking at the toad on my computer screen that was lunging at the bugs on some guy's smartphone.

I just thought that was ironic.

Many cats and dogs will miaow and bark at TV images.

For some reason my cat is really into "The Walking Dead" she will sit and watch it with us avidly.
