Downloads are working fine for me (that's Berlin, Germany for location) as well - got nothing to upload all day, so no idea if that would work. Boinc version shouldn't matter (I think...), but I'm running 6.12.15. Some european node having hiccups? Carola ------- I'm multilingual - I can misunderstand people in several languages! |

Got it in one. 20-odd uploads across five machines uploaded to 208.68.240.16, as they should have been all along. |

208.68.240.16 setiboincdata.ssl.berkeley.edu Remember to take both those out once you (or your ISP) have got your local DNS lookups sorted out. |

Heads up folks. Looks like there might be some big DNS issues, apart from "can't resolve hostname" Just tried sending an email to boinc_alpha, and got Sorry, we were unable to deliver your message to the following address. back from my ISP. No amount of re-installing is going to fix that. |

Move to a different DNS. see if that works. |

Heads up folks. Looks like there might be some big DNS issues, apart from "can't resolve hostname" Might be a missing MX record, ping quite happily finds the IP. |

Might be a missing MX record, ping quite happily finds the IP. General DNS shenanigans would explain the sporadic reports we're getting of "can't resolve hostname". Certainly, I won't be able to ask my ISP (British Telecom partnered with Yahoo Mail) to try a different DNS resolver ;P Edit - Do we have a DNS expert in the house? Ned? |

Might be a missing MX record, ping quite happily finds the IP. You don't need to ask them. Just change it on your machine, or router, to any of the many publicly available DNS servers. One option is http://code.google.com/speed/public-dns/ Note the MX record is a Mail eXchange record, only for e-mail. |
