Due to some unexpected work I haven't been able to make the donation till the end of the day. That was enough time for one of our members to just make a final huge donation to make the total a nice round â‚¬ 2,000! So I'm very happy to report that I've made a donation of $ 2,765 to Berkeley. The money is 'on the wire' as we speak and should reach SETI@home shortly :) Thanks to all the people who contributed to this great result! We are jumping up and down here. Everyone is elated and grateful. Thanks a zillion! If it's OK with you, we propose to use your funds to process the new SETI@home data we are collecting this month at the Green Bank telescope in West Virginia, searching for signals from the exo-planets recently discovered by the Kepler mission. The Arecibo telescope can't reach the Kepler field (the Kepler stars are too far north), but the 100 meter diameter GBT can. The GBT is the world's largest fully steerable telescope and they've awarded us observing time to search these new planets in the habitable zone. Thanks for your wonderfully generous donation!
