I just love it when you Setizens start a donation drive. When I contacted Eric with regards to helping out in that area, I clearly stated, the drives are really not my thing, but helping you Setizens get your stars and donation issues was. Now that is said. A donation to Seti was already planned. As I have friends that are die hard fans for their home team, I will just make it a $1 for each point. Todd, please open a thread in the Cafe too. You can point it to here. We will make it a sticky too. [edit]Snicker, I just saw you did that already and stickied it.[/edit] Pluto will always be a planet to me. Seti Ambassador Not to late to order an Anni Shirt |

Super Bowl is not about the game, it's about the commercials. (Unless the Packers are playing.) |

Super Bowl is not about the game, it's about the commercials. And this year, they ARE! I'm in for $1 a point scored. Go Packers! Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired |

ummm - I don't think the Bears are playing tomorrow. I bet they wish they were however. I believe there was some backlash about their Quarterback I heard in the news. Todd |

I might watch the game here in DK, but due to the time difference I'm not 100% sure I'll see the end... Anyway, I'll donate the points from both teams since I have no favs :) |

Good idea! I just need: (1) bunch of budweiser (2) live TV broadcast of Superbowl Don't have either, alas. [off topic] Question for you English-speaking natives: Is is correct to say Don't have neither, or either? Thinking that not either assimilates to neither. So I'll fix it back to original. Just drink whatever beer is available, and get the score afterwards.. I am sure someone will say. Janice |

I can't resist, and I'm really on both sides, but I'm going to side with the Packers due to childhood connections. I will do as the OP states. For every point the Packers make, I'll donates $1.00, and double it if they win. (Mininum $10 will be donated who ever wins) Steve Warning, addicted to SETI crunching! I do not have neither would be a double negative, I do not have either is correct. But if someone says "I ain't got neither" we know what they are trying to say. Janice |

Ok Todd, here I am at the end of the game with my donation. The Packers won, Congrates to the Pack and all their fans, it was a well played and exciting game. I am most happy that a lot of points were scored and it wasn't a 3 to 0 final. Anyway here is my donation: Thank you for your gift to the SETI@home. We received your gift of $25.00 via American Express on 02/06/2011. Your confirmation number is 71818. Maybe I can get you next year! Super Bowl is not about the game, it's about the commercials. Pack 31 - Steelers 25. Good game, went down to the last 50 seconds. 56 is a weird number, doubling the Packers score still gives a weird number (87). Heck with it: Thank you for your gift of $100.00 via Visa on 02/06/2011. Oh, there might have been some confusion - but it isn't a bad thing. I was only suggesting that a person might pick one team, you didn't have to do both. I of course was rooting for the Packers! Awesome!!! Dear Todd Hebert, Thank you for your gift of $62.00 via Visa on 02/06/2011. Your gift was assigned to the following areas: SETI@home - $62.00 Your confirmation number is: 71820 |

Excellent job to those that have made their donation to the project. Does someone have a final tally of amount donated? I'm on a 3.6" screen right now so it is hard to check. Todd |
