From BOINC Manager have you tried selecting "Advanced" > "Select Computer", leaving the host & password boxes empty, press the OK button. You can also enter localhost in the Hostname box if you would like. This should tell the manager to connect to the local instance of BOINC. | |

Hmmm odd. I would think maybe the windows firewall is causing a problem for you, but I wouldn't think it would work for a few days then stop. If you are using the windows firewall you could double check that boincmager.exe is allowed or port 31416. | |

+ do a full scandisk in case of corrupt sectors / file-indixes. | |
