I just finished reading a realy cool article in the Scientific Americon magaazine, page 48 about somthing called the Cubesat, its a very small satellites that will soon cost only $10,000 to build and launch into space. Anyone can build them for any projects they see fit. the web site is http://cubesat.org/. Check it out.

So, if we could get 10% of the active S@H users to contribute $1 each, we could have our own satellite.

Google Earth has a time function so you can see how a location changes over time.

But I know there are some places where they have not updated the pictures for 10 years or more. US78 in the outskirts of Birmingham is shown traveling through virgin forest...

But acording to this article ive read they are in low orbit and will evetualy fall back to earth.

Also acording to this article the University of California, Berkeley ( sound familiar lol ) used the Cubesat for their Ions, Neutrals, Electrons, Magnetic Fields projects.
