I have installed the CUDA 3.2 toolkit and the optimized app: setiathome-6.09.x86_64-pc-linux-gnu_cuda30 and tried to process some WU's. The first 3 exited immediately with a code 1 (0x1, -255) error. The client seemed to like everything else with the setup of the GTX460 card. The cuda error is: 'cudaSetDevice(devPref-1)' in file './cudaAcceleration.cu' in line 215 : setting the device when a process is active is not allowed. I have searched for the topic and found only one reference from 2008 and it seems is not relevant. Can anyone tell me what I have done wrong or how to fix the error. I can't ask the question over on the Lunatics site it seems because it is closed to new users. I have installed the CUDA 3.2 toolkit and the optimized app: I do not think that app is Fermi compatible, but you can ask Either Jason or Raistmer for assistance as they are the main code wizards. |

From all my reading, this new app is supposed to BE for Fermi cards. I can see from threads in the Lunatics Linux forum that people are successfully using it. I wish I could ask the question there, but as I said before, the forum is closed to anyone new.
