Do I need internet connection in this period оr not?

My Project is SETI@home ...

no your computer can be offline. To prevent it from giving a popup about connecting to the manager you can change the network preferences. in the manager. I'm not sitting in front of my PC at this moment so I'm not sure what it specifically says but it allows you to run without checking your internet connection

And when the task is done I can go to normal mode and send data to the server?

But I can not understand why the task is so little (mb)?

No, in sleep mode no calculations are done and the task would make no progress. You did ask for Internet access during the processing of tasks; that indeed is only necessary when a task has finished.
