Hey,

This worries me, because it might mean a) I'm doing something wrong or b) I'm just inadvertently being a P.I.T.A to the people who then have to do all my WUs.

See...I left for a while with a computer crunching SETI Enhanced WUs at 3 an hour (3 out of 4 cores, the other one's busy with another project's WU for another few days) and came back to find that the computer had reset and detached SETI@Home of its own accord.

O_o

I mean really...what's that about? It's not the project, far as I can tell, as I've not seen any other complaints like this.

It's just very inconvenient since when it did that at 1500h, it simply abandoned all my tasks, in progress or not yet started. A bit inconvenient. (the computer then fetched a solid 5 days of work from PrimeGrid...)

So, what's up?

See this for what I mean.

And the messages tab says this:

Oddly my other SETI machine is doing just fine...

Pointers?

(also, ignore my join date; I didn't start work on SETI until, oh, yesterday. I know my way around BOINC, so hurl that jargon freely)

Do you use an account manager (BAM or Grid Republic)? If Seti hasn't been added in there it will detach the client machines.

Not anymore I don't. ;)

Weird. Thanks for that. Problem solved. I feel silly now.

I (micro)manage everything about BOINC, so I don't know why I was using GridRepublic. I can control more by myself...

Dont feel to bad. I just tried to upgrade My drivers for my GTS 250 and wonderd why It kept saying no Nvidia device found. SO when I put my reading glasses on and saw that I was trying to install the 570 series drivers I had a DOH moment myself:)
